Game Thread: 2024 NCAA Tournament Round 1 #6 Tennessee (19-12, 10-6 SEC) vs #11 Green Bay (27-6, 17-3 Horizon ) Saturday 3/23/24 ~12:00pm ET (ESPN)

Yet Green Bay averages about 75 points per game on close to 49% with the top assist to t/o margin in the country. They are shooting bout 35% today. That is not bad defense.

They were on pace for that when I posted this in the 1st quarter. GB doesn’t play teams with our size most nights.

Credit to the staff/team for making adjustments.

Poetry in motion today, don’t usually say that with this team usually more of a bludgeon.

Wouldn’t mind taking one of GBs sharpshooters in the portal either.

Can’t say enough when you beat a great team by 30.

Going to give the Wolfpack all they can handle (if they advance)

Excellent performance. We always look at shooting, rebounds, & D, but, for me, this game is highlighted by 19 assists from a LV's team that has at times this season played individual ball. Of course, you only get an assist when the shooter makes the basket... loved that still

This was Kellie's best NCAAT win by seed as head coach at Tennessee (11-seed), as the last two years we beat two 13-seeds and two 12-seeds to get to back-to-back Sweet 16s, and we lost to 6-seed Michigan in 2021 (after beating 14-seed MTSU).
Very interesting stat, didn’t know that

Hopefully we can take down an elite seed this tourney
