I disagree that it’s the offense. TK has to continue to build confidence in taking the shot. She is often open but doesn’t shoot it. Every other post has ran the same offense and took and hit the mid range shot. Look at Jillian the last few games playing the 5. She and Karoline both have hit the open midrange shot.
Watching TK with and without the ball the past couple of games I learned a few things: 1) If you don't feed her, she can't score. 2) If you don't feed her ON TIME, her chance of scoring goes down, 3) she is not a powerful, explosive athlete. When she attempts rebounds, she doesn't leap very far off the floor, effectively making her play shorter than her listed height. CKH all but said she just doesn't have a natural aggressive mentality, so she really has to get focused and fired up to be a rebounder. We need other players to count on for rebounding. 4) She really does alter many shots and just by her presence alters opposing offensive sets and plays. She is an absolute must to play significant minutes for us to become a better defensive team. On defense, she is the straw that stirs the drink. I disagree with those who say she shouldn't start. I hope Kellie keeps running her out there and keeps demanding that she impose her will on the opposition.

Agree on all points. Though TK's vertical seems to have gotten better. On what shot block, she got up more than i have ever seen her. Her finishing around the rim also seems to be improved.
You keep referencing three years in the system, ignoring the fact she was recuperating from an injury all of her sophomore year. This is her second year on the floor. We certainly have a difference of opinion on her .All I have seen ( after 3 yrs in the program ) is a non scorer ( either a shooter or going to the basket ) ,poor defense and rarely a rebounder and certainly not a good ball handler. To me she is not an SEC player and never will be.
The issue is TK is the starter and Striplin and Hollingshed are not. Striplin seldom gets on the floor and Hollingshed does not log the same minutes as TK. It may well be TK’s confidence, however, she needs to take the shot when she is open or it could very well adversely affect our offense.I disagree that it’s the offense. If I recall, she injured her foot her first year here, and the summer after playing with her national team she injured it again, causing her to miss her entire second year. Not sure. I think the problem was her foot. Seems she played with her national team and really damaged an existing injury she should have been rehabbing. Memory is not strong here….
Yes, she missed about the last half of season,
maybe key having 6 6 senior center to face will get her motor going. It show were key at this time in the season. They face nebraska at 7 may watch some of preseason acc player of the year key next asignment.Good question. I personally don't think so but they may well be close. If we play well, VT probably won't get the praise they deserve.
