Coach Jumper, I agree. But, let me ask you a question. Would you schedule UConn in light of last season's won-loss record of 19-12? Scheduling Central Connecticut maybe but not UConn.

If I were desperate to save my job,,,yes

You invite the hot programs when your rising, not falling
Fortunately Coach K has them rising

If our current orginization desires to play ucon, who’s to stop it?
But, the person this game is supposed to “honor” chose to NOT play them, and for good reason. The little one despised and repetitively disrespected The Great One and her players ...by name.
Oh yeah, but, but, but then he made a donation to her charity.
I can think of several billion others who could better honor our late, Great Coach.

This. It was always important for Pat to do what's best for the women's game and the fans so when she took UConn off the schedule, you know what he did was a massive deal in her eyes. I'm not sure how playing the one team (or more specifically, coach) Pat thought it was important enough NOT to schedule "honors" her, seems like a slap in the face to her legacy...

Change is hard to accept.
If Uconn was irrelevant this wouldn't even be a conversation because wouldn't matter
But they do matter right now

To be the champ you got to beat the champ..otherwise it is a championship by entitlement

I’m torn about this game. I would have been fine to have never played Connecticut again, and I can fully respect those whose heartfelt opinion is that Pat wouldn’t want this game played because she’d made her position clear when she ended the series years ago.

That said, after doing some deep soul-searching, I’m now in support of the game because I honestly believe that if Pat could speak to us from Beyond she might say something along the lines of, “Wonderful! How can we not support this game when some of the proceeds will go to help end Alzheimer’s Disease?! What if the money from this game were to come at just the moment some small-but-dedicated lab needs it to bring the end to it? This is much bigger than me. Let’s get behind it!”

I could be wrong, but this is how I’m going to handle it.

Sorry, Ivocd. I may have been a little too strong. But, would you have allowed your mentor's legacy to be dragged through the mud during your 7 year coaching career.

I don't think she did it on purpose and the future is here and now...:D

GO LADY VOLS!

If CHW had considered Pat a mentor, in the truest sense, she would have learned from her.

I had a true mentor, in Atlanta, in construction.
Started me from handing him tools and boards and six years later I had two trim-crews, a sheet-rock crew and several punch-out men under me.
He used me as an assistant and when I was ready he pushed me so I could become the leader he was.
He didn't want to train me to stay his assistant, he trained me to do what he did.
If Holly had the same mentor/apprentice relationship, she would have shown more of Pat's ways and traits.
I mirrored Ollie's way of doing things and it made me successful
Or I could have been content to be his helper for all of my 11 years and never learned the trade.

As providence would have it, I have to watch the game from home...sigh
I miss you and T,
But I am there in spirit and in heart.

Do what you do, girls.
Ala deserves our best effort, start to finish!

Not in a good place about this game to much disappoint in the last few years against them. I definitely think we can beat them, but until we do just cautiously optimistic.

Good start so far except Horston not being awake yet. Passed it right to the zebra lol.

Why even have the cylinder rule if nobody is going to call it?

Rennia needs to put it on the floor. It’ll be an immediate foul, they are bodying her so hard.
