I agree, she has chaminque holdsclaw-like talent but not the same aggression to score. She needs to want the ball in her hands at all times and literally have confidence every time she shoots.

On ESPN and Andy Landers gets directly asked about what the Tennessee Lady Vols are doing right....and he manages to never even mention them.

Someone at ESPN obviously did not like Pat. I swear a job requirement is that you have to hate Tennessee.

I don't post a lot here, most of you know me by my tailgate parties (which are epic, and you need to attend) but i will drop this... I am proud tonight of our Ladies. This is a step up. They were warriors tonight. Yes we lost, but it is absolutely a building block. So lets keep building. It is, always has been, great to be a Tennessee VOL.

Hope Arkansas beats them too. I actually think they can. They have the guard play to get it done. Gonna have to play a little defense though. UConn does not have the same size that Arkansas has seen in the SEC and that’s really been their Achilles heel.

Before we join hands to celebrate a moral victory...

we might note that UConn took loads of threes tonight, and missed most of them,
shot lots of free throws and made far fewer than their normal %, had a lousy shooting game overall, got out-rebounded, and still managed to win.

Yes, we have improved since Holly days. That's why we hired a new coach.
So let's be glad for the improvement, but not for the loss to an underperforming opponent.

Seeing a lot of posts that start with 'If'. The game was the game. To be honest quite a few times I thought there was no way UConn would win. But it was exciting and it was what Tennessee-UConn should be, a struggle down to the wire. Great effort by the Lady Vols.

I believe we underperformed. Horston and Davis have to be better they are our 2 AA from high-school Top 10 players and Conn has 5 . The rest of our players did play about as well as they could against very good competition. In CHRIST Alone

Wonder how Rae would have felt if Rennis was demanding the ball in her hands at all times when Rae was red hot? Rae got up 17 shots, the two Jordans got up 20 btw them (unfortunately only hitting 2 of them). Rennia was lucky to get the 12 shots she got. On a team with multiple offensive options, sometimes its hard finding a balance between finding the hot hand and "taking the game over." Geno made a good defensive adjustment on Rae in the second half and Rennia did try to be more aggresive but her shot just wasn't falling.

She ended up with 11 pts, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 blocks and NO turnovers. That's a pretty impressive contribution

Like Paige, she was contributing in other ways. Griffin shut her down in the 2Q, but Rennia had a solid 3Q when UConn clamped down on Rae.

Agreed, and we did like at Gator Bowl tailgate. Seems so long ago
