Game Thread: #5 Tennessee (18-11, 10-6 SEC) vs #4 Alabama (23-8, 10-6 SEC) Friday 3/8/24 ~2:30 pm ET (SEC Network) FINAL UT 83 - Bama 61

Its amazing how these so-called negavols are in some of you all's heads so bad they own you. They are not all wrong either, let it go.

They don't own me, and, the fact is, they, you & I* can post what we want (within site guidelines). But when you can't give credit when credit is due, it's your own head that is questionable

*Edit... make me an I for I4Vols...

Yes everyone can and not singling you out, just saying complaining about negavols just takes up posting space. Its an open opinion board, just roll with it.

I didn’t see that coming, but what a game! Payback, ✅. Congrats to our team for taking it to Alabama, and not stopping!

Now, we get to play SC for the 3rd time, so far, this year. Thousands of Tennessee fans are cheering you on, even though we may not be there in person, so hear us in your heads, we’re here and we are proud of you!

GO LADY VOLS!!!

Nice win today. Offensively, a very efficient game--50%+ shooting. Got the ball to Key in some good spots
in the 3rd quarter, and she is showing a bit more offensively. Too many turnovers, but all in all an impressive
performance.
72 Tennessee possessions to their 68 cause we crushed them on the boards. 18 turnovers to 14 was all made up with the board play.

Should be a 7 seed no matter what happens tomorrow. Q 1 win our Net should be no more than 30 and with an rpi of 23 and number one sos even with 11 losses should be at least a 7
Agreed maybe last 6. Committee will award Schedule. And we did beat big 12 champ on neutral floor without AA. In CHRIST Alone

It may have already been mentioned but another good thing about today's game is that we didn't put a lot of minutes on our starters. Jackson played 31 minutes but she didn't play a lot yesterday. No one else played more than 26 minutes. Key only played 14 minutes.

Playing in SC doesn't help, practically a home game for them. Wish they would move this tourney around some.
I've advocated a number of years for holding the WSEC tournament in Huntsville, AL at the Von Braun Center. I understand that the argument against the location has been the lack of sufficient hotel accommodations within a certain distance of the arena, but I believe this may have changed within the last couple of years. Huntsville is (until the addition of Texas and Oklahoma) probably the most central location in the geographic SEC and there is no particular advantage for the Alabama teams associated with the locale, at least based on my previous research.
