Game Thread: (7/7) Lady Vols 56 - (10/9) Connecticut 75

Tell me what offense works when you shoot 25% while have a bunch of open looks? This is on the fact we are poor shooters who shoot worse when there is a lot on the line.

Some of the looks were open, some were absolutely not open. Some of that 75% was just chucking balls up, like those people that ride barrels over Niagara Falls- "I don't know let's find out."

The difference is that Christyn has been playing well and her misses were wide open. Rae is playing like a bowling ball

imo …and the more concerning aspect of her play (and the team‘s overall) is that it’s now becoming a trend. Their poor performance at Auburn wasn’t isolated. We’ve now seen that same team show up in 3 of their last 4 games. The good news is that the beat a very very good Arkansas team during that same stretch so maybe the light will flip back on. They‘ve shown they can do it.

Make no doubt about it- this is the worst UConn team Geno has fielded in the last 15 years. They’ll be a different team with their players back soon. This is a huge wasted opportunity by LVs
If Kellie can’t win this one, she will never beat Geno.

How to win when Dye is 0-4, Walker is 0-3 (two underneath), and Burrell 1-5
Fouls early in the second half will determine this game's winner
If Key, ugh
If UConn, well, I just don't see two of three refs overcoming the one dude

Puckett is playing hard but has been a little out of it defensively. Burrell is having a hard time keeping people in front and Sarah should have helped two or three times when she didn’t. Nervous about guarding a player bigger than her.

I’ve mostly noticed Puckett guarding ONO, who consistently wraps arms with her defender to tangle them up. Might be hindering Puckett’s ability to help.

The injury has definitely set Rae back she looked a lot better in game one than she looks now. Looks to be really struggling with movement and handling the ball.

The foul they called on Key was absolutely ONO hooking Key's arm and slinging her to the ground. At best it should have been a no call, but of course those dipsticks called Key for ... I don't know, getting her arm tangled in ONO's arm, whatever.

How far back do we have to go to find a UT team which turned up its level of play against good competition?

It has been a while. It would be OK to be down 7 if we were playing well and the other team just outplayed us. But this is us being afraid and playing far beneath our capabilities.

Anyone else feel like their’s no intensity from Tennessee? Since Pat, I don’t feel like it’s there with coaches or players

Tennessee is doing a great job not making live ball turnovers, but they are getting beat on the glass. This game here is for the taking but they have to get back to rebounding and defending.

Rae can see her draft position dropping. I don't think she will comeback because the next draft is far more talented than this one. I think her being picked number six in the draft is now more like the middle of the round.

She will go in the second round if she doesn't flip the switch.
