Has anyone ever heard Coach Kim encourage the fans to show up to a game? I really think she is missing the boat on that aspect.
The LV's have 5 wins against cupcakes...Now we have two games against, one decent ranker #39 and one elite ranker #3,,,followed by more 5 more "dessert games",,,fans ain't gonna flock to games we are pretty much guaranteed to win by 40.
If we do well in these next two games, more seats will find butts.

Coach Kim, Danny, the Pope can ask for more bodies,,,but until the fans see quality wins, it will be a hard sell. That is the difficulty with scheduling and why Q1 and Q2 opponents get scheduled. On the flipside,,,to schedule a bunch of Q1s and Q2's in year one of a new coach and an influx of new players would be an even worse scenario. Coach Kim has a pretty stacked roster for next year with a helluva recruiting class...I am behind this schedule/plan 100% for this year. Lets get this new style of play some time to set roots before we add weeds.

Hear, hear! Need a few discount ticket specials before SEC play starts.
Now you're cooking with gas!

Have some discounts and maybe lower the price of parking down to where it should be,,,empty seats can be filled with invitees from AAU/HS/etc (along with them comes parents and concession's devoured).

Treat this like a business instead of a possession and grow the org back to where it can self-sustain again

Yes, the new staff came in having a harder job than anyone ever before them has had as far as putting butts in seats. Ticket prices have skyrocketed. Parking, if you can find an available lot, has doubled in cost. Every game is televised somewhere now. The program went into a depression after Pat died and is still recovering. The program hasn't been the perennial powerhouse it once was. The sad list goes on and on.

I agree the AD is going to need to throw the fans a few bones. They're tired of feeling abused and need to catch a break or two.

But like I and lots of people say, consistent winning performances definitely make people more likely to spend money to see them in person.

Two words. LICK BACK!

Don’t think we can get off to a slow start and win tonight. I hope the team looks prepared! I hope we don’t dig ourselves in too deep of a hole. My Lady Vol Fan PTSD is kicking in, lol.

Let’s get this win!

Coach has had good crowds.. The style of play invites fans... the stuff outside of that is on the DW and the promotional people
I wonder if inside the UTAD they are engaged with learning how to navigate promoting championship-quality sports year-round? Technically, football could potentially have an additional home game this season... men's basketball is a solid Top-5 this season... Lady Vols are lurking with potential to burst into the national conversation... BaseVols are warming up with Top-5 potential... "lesser" sports are also excelling and need to find and enlarge their fanbases...

If this actually was a business, internal discussions would likely include the pros & cons on selling off some of these sports whose seasons overlap!

Curious to see if we hire anyone who held a wonky position* at Stanford's athletic dept. anytime soon.

*If RFK,Jr. is approved for HHS and someone similarly minded for FDA, there might be all sorts of talent from the snack food and cereal industries looking for work. Those people have the most experience in the world at managing diversified products competing against each other while contributing to the profit of an umbrella corporation. Just a thought.

For sure. 92-92 We said often last year how different the season might have been if we'd hit that last second shot and won that game. Pretty sure FS was ranked at the time.

I thought this yr's FS team would be a little higher ranked than they are right now. Still a good test, but I don't think they're as good as the top 4 or 5 in the SEC.

After late free throws, I think the LVs win by 10 or so points.

The last couple of years they had Jordy and RIckea tape appeals to students to come to big games, and they had really good crowds, 12-15K (actually in seats) for the big games. I don't remember direct appeals for crowds fm Kellie.

I don't remember very good crowds, maybe 6-7K, last preseason here w Notre Dame, etc. And I don't remember much promotion for those games, even though they were highly ranked teams. LVs are just an afterthought for alot of people until football season is over. The men Vols seems to overcome that, I'm sure due to recent success.

Wins are the key. Start winning the big games and the crowds will grow. And I repeat, the lack of weekend games is really going to hurt actual butts in seats this year.
