So many ppl were acting as if the year was over after that first game agsinst utc. Now we destroy georgia tech. Maybe you put the cart before the horse?
This. When the game got tight at UTC the other night, this team panicked and folded. That didn't happen today. They kept their composure and stayed strong. It's good to see that they're already learning from that loss on Friday. As some have already mentioned, this team is going to take their bumps this season. It happens to all young teams, and we've got a VERY difficult schedule as usual. We just need to continue to be patient and support them. They're going to get better.
This young team is going to require some support and patience as they gain experience. You can't have consistent confidence without experience, and gaining experience involves making a lot of mistakes. They'll get there because they have the talent, and I have faith in the coaching and the recruiting.
The standard has been set so high, and we've been spoiled.
It was very encouraging to see Cierra Burdick step up today and fulfill our expectations of someone with such impressive credentials. It was equally encouraging to see the youth deliver under pressure in the 1st half when Simmons was on the bench in foul trouble. And I echo the inspiring thwart of Tech's comeback early in the 2nd half. That was big.:salute
There is a lot you don't see if you are not at the game. There is individual coaching and teaching going on all the time with this bunch. Elzy is very active. She is going to make somebody a nice head coach one day and I'm afraid it's not going to take long for some teams to realize that. We have something special in Graves and Carter. This was a fun game to be at. I have to congratulate GT on their new arena. It's awesome. I can't believe it's the same place. I believe the only thing that stayed the same was the roof. Great game and a little emotional at the end with Holly getting her first win. I'm glad I got to see it.
