MUST MINIMIZE EPPS TO HAVE A SNOWBALLS CHANCE. use of caps is intended to stress the point.

Good luck with this one. If they don't play a great deal better than they did against Vandy, it won't be pretty.

LVs always struggle in Lexington and then you're playing 8 vs 5
Yes, and 5 of the 8 play football. Loved Te'a against Vandy. That big bruiser tried to kill her a couple of times, and on the tech, Te'a came up laughing! They had all better bring that attitude and toughness to Lexington.

I hope Mercedes Russell is not sick, she could hardly breath the last game. We have a good chance in this game, play hard. Love the beautiful Lady Vol's.:punch_bag::3cheers:

Do I think they played great against Vanderbilt, NO. Do I think they left 3 point shooters open all night, YES. Do I think they turned the ball over to much on unforced errors, YES. Do I think they were well coached and time outs were used wisely during the game, NO. Do I think there is a guard on the bench that does more harm than good when she enters the game, YES. Do I think they can win this game in Lexington, YES. Cooper may be the key, if she can hit consistently then our inside game will only improve. GO LADY VOLS
We need this one to stay in the top 25.

Stop being so ambiguous! Is Dunbar pretty or not? What do you think?

Coming off a loss is probably not the best time to play UK. They will have extra motivation to win this game.

If the UK guards are on point, this will be a tough game to take...especially on the road. Cooper needs to have the same kind of game she had against Vandy.

I say we go to Lexington & lose 75-69. We played better the last game against Vandy but Kentucky is just a better team. I would have never thought I would say the Lady Vols would have 7 losses at this point in the season. I think Holly Warlick is probably gone after this season. I like her but it's time for something different.

DeShields is really the only player we can depend on to score on a consistent basis. Even she though tries to do too much at times. I'm extremely disappointed in Mercedes Russell. She should dominate under the basket but she don't.

She's too big to be pushed around like she does. She needs to get tough & take it out on her defenders. Where's the toughness? Pat would have her dominating if she was still able to coach this team.

Akator will make Russell look like an elementary school post player and Epps will Euro-step us into a virtual coma. Matt will be pissed over the Ole Miss game and have his players ready to eat nails. I would like to see a win, or even a close game, however, we might be in deep crap. Hope for the best but do not be surprised if the worse happens.

It will be interesting to see what the crowd looks like with all the snow in the Kentucky area.

epps? didn't we handle her just last year? Akhator will be a problem but is foul prone.

if Cooper still has her shooting eye, Tennessee kicks Cat hineys. if not, we "lose" not loose.

In which game did Cooper have "her shooting eye?" I hope you don't mean the last game against Vanderbilt when she shot 6/12 (50%). There are 8 players on the UConn roster who are shooting better than 50% for the entire season. Notre Dame has 6 players and Maryland has 8 players that are also shooting over 50% for the entire season. All 22 of those young ladies would consider 50% shooting to be an off night that would bring their stats down. Are expectations for Cooper so low that anyone would applaud her performance against Vanderbilt? She also had only 1 assist vs. 3 turnovers. Not very impressive for a point guard, especially against an unranked cupcake like Vanderbilt!

Yall are so negative. We're struggling WE KNOW! I applaud fans that are looking for some positivty. Its time to uplift the girls and support them. The season is far from over,if they get hot/gel/peak at the right time with the talent they have they could go far! Lets start encouraging the girls. There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism but we on this board seem to lack the ability to do that.

hoya, nobody here cares a damn bit about what the u con lady dogs do or don't do.

Cooper picked up her game and saved the "Lady Vols" bacon last game. If she does it again, Thank Goodness. If not, U Cons still stink... :)

Cooper has shot poorly all year--and given that she is not especially tall and doesn't have a pretty jump shot (she's got the old push-shot motion that I'm shocked high school coaches still let kids use) and is really more of a dribble-penetration guard, I would not count on her shooting 50 percent again. Warlick seems to have this weird thing about playing Cooper, but then HW isn't terribly astute.

I used UConn, Notre Dame, and Maryland shooting as a comparison because those three teams played in the Final Four for the past two years. For the Vols to accomplish a similar level of success and return to the Final Four after such a long hiatus, they will need to shoot at a comparable level to those three teams.
