I'm here in section P. Officiating is horrible in terms of calling fouls. MTSU is hitting most if their shots. We're missing most of ours. We are also not doing a good job getting the ball inside and turning it over. Definitely winnable if we just play better.

Burdick is a good shooter and will get her touch back. Massengale worries me since last year was her only good shooting year and we don't know if she worked enough on her shot over the summer to maintain it yet. It comes more naturally for Burdick.

10 turnovers in that half way to many. If you wanted to tell a team how not to play then Tennessee's performance in this game would be the perfect presentation.

We got to give them a big dose of Graves in the second half. She is well rested only playing four minutes cannot foul.

If we don't come out and get back in the game in the first 5 to 7 minutes this one probably over. We got to come out hot and get that lead down to less than 5 at the 13 minute mark.

One more thing to keep in mind: this is the first game of the year, it's on the road in a loud building with the home team well represented, and it's against a team that got top 25 votes.

In short, I think a bad first half isn't that surprising. However, they do need to turn it around.

they gotta stay out of foul trouble some way,the new rules are going to suck,i don't understand why no hand checking as long as it isn't a blatant punch lol

I kinda expected us to have a tough time winning Tennessee Chattanooga all over again. I hope they are thinking that and will find a way to come back in the second half.

We really need Ariel to get going or change point guards. She was 0 for five and had three turnovers. Here we go second half.

The refs have pretty much ruined women's basketball. The officiating had always been the worst just because of incompetence, but now they have really outdone themselves with the rule change.

I suspect the coaches will force them to back off this sort of thing by mid-year.

Perhaps the LVs should adapt (i.e. stop fouling) to the new emphasis on refs enforcing the rules. No new rules just enforcing the ones that exist to create more offense.

You may be somewhat correct, but there have been some cheap calls. LVs could be playing better though.
