Remember what I said on Sunday about Kentucky being almost as inconsistent as the Lady Vols? They just lost to Vandy at home by 2 points. They had the ball with about 4 seconds left and an open three - chose to drive instead and turned the ball over. Sound familiar? South Carolina has been the only reliable women's team in the SEC this season.

Unfortunately Mercedes Russell is standing around watching the game instead of getting herself involved. Just watch her and you will see what I'm talking about. It's so annoying.

When the fast little guard penetrates just stand in front of the big girl and she won't be able to dish it off. She burned both Cooper and Deshields that way.

These refs are jobbing us. They called a foul on Russell for letting that girl jump on her.

All of our centers on the bench with two fouls each. Not sure who will guard their monster now.

This is going to be a rough game if our girls aren't going to be allowed to even look at the offensive players without getting called for a foul.

They keep officiating like that and the players will get frustrated. That is usually when it gets rough and fights break out.

I know Mercedes Russell was McDonalds AA and people complain about her play. I agree she isn't the quickest. But she does what centers are supposed to. Had a double-double against ky and is working her way there tonight. Stats show she has more boards than anyone else so far- both teams

Happy to see Cooper looking to score. Better ball movement but not great. Tight game. Keeping a tight grip defensively on Vivians keeping MS from running away.

It's the 3rd quarter that will be telling.
