They messed up extending that contract up until 2017, anyone know Caldwell's contract situation with LSU?
I'm not sure about Caldwell's contract at LSU but let me say, that I don't think it would ever come to Holly being fired here. If it ever got as bad as we never hope it does, I honestly believe she would step down.
Did she ever seek to be anything other than assistant head coach? Why would they give her the reigns of one of the top four programs in the country? (arguably the top program) Because you had two men in charge who didn't understand LADY VOL basketball.
A lot of people, including Pat and fans, wanted Holly to be the next HC.
Whats your definition of bad? Take a look at this remaining SEC schedule and see if you can see what I do...
1/16 Mississippi State
1/23 Florida
1/26 Texas A&M
1/30 Arkansas
2/2 Alabama
2/6 Ole Miss
2/10 Vanderbilt
2/16 Kentucky
2/20 Auburn
2/23 Missouri
2/27 LSU
3/2 South Carolina
Having watched most of these teams at some point, I think the only given wins are ole miss, alabama, and miss state. The rest of those could be potential losses. Some of those like Auburn, Mizzou, Arkansas and Florida might have some of you rolling your eyes but all have demonstrated their ability to play competitively over the short course of the conference season.
Wow. What a dumb **** contract that is. UT is dumb as hell, and I'm stuck being a fan no matter what. Figures. Why give her an extension. You should only get an extension making the final four as a UT women's coach. What is going on here????Warlick's contract now runs through March 2017
Tennessee Lady Vols give Holly Warlick raise, one-year extension - ESPN

Yes, so you see nothing is going to happen to Holly. They are through paying over a million dollars for a women's basketball coach. And, are probably relieved Pat came down with her disease because it gave them an out. I hate feeling so cynical but that's how I feel. They didn't want to go out and get a tested coach because they didn't want to pay him or her. I think she only makes about average for SEC women's coaches.
P.S.-I think Caldwell is getting over $700,000 per year.
