Thanks GM. Yeah, maybe. We need a bunch of girls to get well and get off that bench...

Massey has Wichita State (1-5) ranked #208. By comparison, Central Arkansas (the first game of the season) is ranked #220. Another cupcake, but this time a cupcake on the road.

Have final exams ended? Does anyone know if everyone is making the three-game road trip, or are some players staying behind to rehab?

This will be a stress-free win. I just hope they do it in the context of improving the overall offense moving forward (no freelancing and doing whatever you want).

Hey 'mule. I'll be at the game! Look for me behind the bench on your TV screen. I'll be the old gray-headed geezer in an orange shirt!

I hope for a stress free game but am prepared for a closer game than necessary. In the end we squeak by in a nail biter which should have been over by at least the middle of the 3rd quarter.

Bear in mind that a lot were saying that about VT (predicting a 25-pt LV win).

Honestly, any game this year is up for grabs if the opponent plays well & smells the chum in the water.

Anyone playing a zone defense with any efficiency at all will be a challenge for this team unless they develop a half court offense that is efficient.

Looking at LV stats is more terrifying than watching a horror movie...thinking of the time I sat through Count Dracula Vampire in downtime Cleveland in broad daylight!:lolabove: Reynolds, for example, has made it to the free throw line a grand total of ONE time in 8 games!:thud: Now that's scary...

Just wanted to add that watching this team "perform" compares favorably to watching "The Walking Dead"...down to 7 healthy players and a zombie staff that shows virtually no signs of life as the last few drops of blood are extracted from a dying program...sad...

Given her proficiency at shooting, she'd be better off going right at her defender instead of trying to create space for the 5 foot jumper that she will inevitably miss. Hopefully, her FT accuracy is better than her shooting percentage.

If the seven healthy Lady Vols can't beat Wichita State handily then the program may be in as much trouble as some of the despondent fans think it is.

My Mizzou team beat them by 20 points... held them to 37 points ...and 11 Tigers played double digit minutes! The WS team is not close to as good as they were last year.

This could be the tonic that gets the LV's going and a good chance to really work on the offense. And, if it turns into a blowout, Holly can't be accused of running up the score when she only has two on the bench.

BTW... Mizzou is playing well... 9 and 0... and I'm hoping we'll be 13 and 0 when we meet the Lady Vols in Columbia in January. Adding freshmen Sophie Cunningham and Cierra Porter -- our best recruiting class ever -- has improved both our front and back court play. Of course we haven't played any ranked teams... but we did beat St. Mary's by 17 on their home court and they just beat Cal the other day. We run the gauntlet in Jan though... Tenn, GA, SC, and MSST all in a ten-day span... ugh! 13 and 0 could go to 13 and 4 real quick. But I definitely think we've got a shot at the NCAA Tourney this year.

I saw Missouri play week or two ago on tv...Cunningham was terrific! They can shoot the 3 ball! Don't see the LV'S winning that game in their current state. Could even be a blow out on Missouri's home court!

watching the lady cats from UK put a beat down on Louisville. that juco girl who they signed instead of her being a Ldy Vol is going to hurt when we play them,, She is a real beast. think Graves with more height, faster and way way way meaner! in a good way of course. :)

Akhator (sp? ) is her name.

In reality this should be about a 30-40 point win. No telling with Holly coached team though.

You are absolutely correct Sandvol. What will be telling here is the effort for 40 minutes. If you watch any of the top teams (and the way we used play) the 'scrambling for the ball', rebound effort, always on the lookout for a steal etc, is a full game, full energy effort.
It almost doesn't matter what the score is - we are most certainly going to win big - but if the ladies slack off it is a terrible indictment of them AND the coaching. You only see a Muffet or Geno player slacking off once. The rest of the time they ride the bench.
