Wow four wins over Kentucky and all four walk off hits. I feel for those Kentucky girls they play with effort so glad were moving on. 40 wins for the 13th straight season.

Wow: I check this site and UTSports.com 2 hours ago and thought kentucky had won it. I guess it was only the top of the seventh. I come back and see a reference to a walk-off win and think the post is old--but, no: another late-game win over the cats.

I quit watching also because I thought UK had won this one. I know Kentucky's Women's Basketball and Softball teams has to hate Tennessee. The Basketball team defeated Kentucky each time in three close matchups, while the Softball team defeated Kentucky each time in four close matchups. Go Lady Vols!

What are the chances that the UT Lady Vols host a softball regional next week? Forgive my ignorance, I don't know how that stuff is determined.

I quit posting about half way thru.

I have to ask some of the posters - just how bad did Kentucky beat us anyway? I'm quite sure they run-ruled us in the 5th inning.

The chances of a regional are excellent, UT should get one. The chances of a super-regional are non-existent unless the rankings change or some higher ranked teams can't host because of scheduling conflicts.

Some of the other more knowledgeable posters can correct me, but there are 16 regional sites and 8 super-regional sites. The NCAA generally awards these based on ranking. If there is a scheduling conflict or some other reason a school cannot host, then that may allow another school to slip in and host.

If UT were to win the SEC Tournament, that could change things because their ranking would change.

If I have misstated anything, it is an honest error.

The LV's are a very resilient team. If they can get decent pitching, they can be a dangerous foe. It was nice to see Gretchen come in and pitch a little. She did ok.

The game tonight will be even more difficult. Not only is LSU a better team than Kentucky, the stadium will be packed with LSU fans and I am sure they will be loud and rude.

Kentucky did take 2 of 3 from LSU at Lexington. The LV's can win but their margin of error gets smaller with each successive game.

Hosting a Regional is a lock. Only shot at hosting a Super is to win the SECT, IMO, and even then it's questionable.

Top 7 in the RPI (1. Florida, 2. LSU, 3. Oregon, 4. Auburn, 5. Michigan, 6. Alabama, 7. UCLA) look pretty locked in at this point to host a super regional. The only one that looks shaky is Florida State at #8. If you can maybe get a slip up from them in an otherwise weak ACC tournament and win the SEC tournament we might potentially be in line for that seed.

Two hour rain delay. Looks like it's going to be a while before the Tennessee game starts.

Hope we look more focused tonight! Kentucky really looked like they were there to win last night.

Hopefully just an isolated rain. I'm 8 miles south of the stadium and have had no sign of rain.

If we want to lose we start Aucoin. Don't understand the decision unless Gabriel still hurt.

Koenig just isn't seeing the ball well at all. Her average is taking a nosedive.

Aucoin has very good stuff, but she has ZERO control of it. That's what gets her in trouble.

Gabriel comes in and walks the first batter she faces on 4 pitches. This could be a long night.

Aucoin has been a disaster. She is a pretty good hitter--but terrible disappointment as a pitcher. The girl has zero control. Was she that bad at texas tech or wherever she came from? She walks people, hits people, throws wild pitches. The coach brought her in the other night to get one Kentucky batter out--and she walked her! Walked the first LSU hitter she faced tonight--who came round to score. You can't even pitch her anymore--that's how bad it's gotten.
