Maybe you're weak mentality but Erin is not...no use forcing her when she is currently only pitching in her 3rd month since she missed last year and the Fall due to injury...their is a reason why the Weekly's are HOF's and you're not
You mean "mentally," I think, and "there," not "their." Those big words are tough, I know.
If Gabriel is not ready to pitch then why are they starting her? Hasn't she pitched a couple of complete games already this year--yea, that's what I thought, she has. That tells me she OK to pitch six/seven innings. The fact is, the Weeklys have this odd habit of yanking her every time she gives up a run early in the game. If they have so little confidence in her, then start one of the other pitchers. They are very panicky when it comes to all the pitchers but Ellen.
You only need 1 pitcher to get back to OKC and win...
Karen Weekly said in the Postgame their plan today was to throw each of their 3 non-Renfroe pitchers one time through the lineup, and that's what they did. Gabriel came out after the #9 hitter, so did Tarango. Gaffin was the only one to face any hitter twice.
I would imagine it didn't hurt Gabriel's confidence that the coaches followed a plan the team was aware of prior to the game.

It was doing that to me last weekend, I don't know why it was doing it but over the course of an inning I would somehow get about 5 minutes behind.
And thanks for doing the updates.

I have an undergrad degree and two masters degrees I could care less about spelling and you seem to think that you know more than the weekly's when you don't so just stop
Your Masters aren't obviously in spelling. But kidding aside I agree with Armchair in that their inability to find a consistent pitcher behind Renfroe is somewhat concerning. They probably need to give her more innings in these non-conference games like MTSU to develop her toughness.
Did anyone ever say why Gabriel isnt pitching the whole game anymore ?
their plan is to basically start Gabriel... go one time through the lineup... bring in Tarango for one time through the Lineup... Bring in Gaffin.... one time through the Lineup..... second time through got Gaffin..
should have brought Ellen in at the top of the 7th... up 4-1 to face 7, 8 and 9 in the order.... leadoff Wallace hit 3 run homer to tie.
Ellen was warming up for the 2nd game of DH... starting in a half hour after the game ended...
#2 Lady Vols Power Past Arkansas, 8-0 (6) - UTSPORTS.COM - University of Tennessee Athletics
it worked pretty good until the 7th.... against BYU and yesterday against Arkansas.... it worked against Fresno state when Ellen came in and closed..
my 2 cents... would have been to put Ellen in to start the 7th to secure the SEC win...
Pretty proud of Melissa this weekend... 5 for 8 with 4 walks and 1 HBP... 6 runs scored, 8 rbi, double... 2 homers including a grand slam and a 3 run shot. She slugged a 1.5% slugging percentage and had an on base percentage of .769% for and OPS of 2.269% which basically equals BEAST MODE.... need her to keep it up...
she loves the move to # 2 in the batting order and has responded extremely well... 7 for 11, 8 runs, 9 rbi, 5 walks, 2 HBP, double and 2 home runs...
SEC Player of the week #s and consideration???
Will be back for the Florida series
