UGA loses to Western Kentucky in 14 innings. Wow.

LSU loses at home to Arizona State.

A&M leading Oklahoma 5-3 bottom 5th in Norman.

Really surprised how LSU has been fading. Don't seem to be handling the pressure very well.

It will be in ESPN3 to start and will switch to linear network if there is an open spot they need to fill. You will absolutely be able to stream the game live.

I just got back from the park.

Man was it hot early. It cooled off later but the first hour and a half I got burned up.

Solid effort by the team. I'm still looking for this team to put it all together - pitching, fielding, hitting. Today Rainy was ok but not great. Tarango did fine in relief. Once again the team is committing fielding errors. Overstreet lets one slip under her glove at third and let one get by her to her left. She was also picked off first which is a really bonehead play. Geer with another error. Aldrete had another passed ball.

The hitting was obviously outstanding. One or two runs every inning is pretty darn good.

The home plate ump screwed the pooch on a ball that hit Koenig. The ball clearly hit her in the arm but he called her back. I thought at first he ruled the ball hit her bat and thus was a foul ball. Karen talked with him at length and apparently he ruled interference and that the ball hit her leg because she stuck it out.

Good crowd again today, maybe a few empty seats and the heat probably kept them subdued - it wasn't as loud as the first day.

The good news is they didn't have to pitch Gabriel. She'll be fresh for Sunday's first game.

News flash to the Utah coach - your team got beat because Tennessee is a better team.

Man did she have a snippy attitude in the press conference while rolling out a bevy of excuses. Tennessee got hits because her pitchers were sloppy. It was hot. It was humid. The ball was wet. The ball was slippery. The ball got dirt on it. The home plate umpire moved the strike zone around. It was a big game. We're not used to this. Her pitcher is a freshman. Duh, did Tennessee play any freshman maybe there coach?

What a whiner.

Oh, and I forgot one. According to Utah they only got 5 innings and needed those last two innings to catch up with Tennessee's pitchers.

Longwood beat VA Tech! What a great game that was! I was really rooting for Longwood to beat Utah but it didn't happen.

Longwood has two really good pitchers. They can chuck that ball in there. Their hitters just couldn't hit the other teams better pitchers however.

Hopefully we got the bats going today and take Utah out early and send them home. Don't need no game two win the first and move on.

Yes. It poured down between 8 and 9 am. It cooled considerably. It is not raining now and the weather channel forecast shows the chance of rain diminishing as the day wears on. So by game time there is a good chance that there will be no rain. Keep your fingers crossed.
