Congratulation to the Lady Vols Softball and the great job the Weeklys did. Women's College World Series here comes the Lady Vol's.

And just to point out that it was the heads up base running of CJ McClain (the girl who dropped the ball vs Auburn in the SEC Championship) that scored what proved to be the winning run. She stole 3rd then ran like hell on the hit to home. Great to see her bounce back. Wanted to give her praise since she got blasted for her error vs Auburn. Way to go LVs!!

They'll probably go two and out LOL! I never expected this. That's why it's so great. Did you hear where Ralph said the other day he never expected to be playing either. And that was before this victory!

no I didn't hear that Jeff,I'm surprised that Ralph said that,unless he was trying to motivate the team

I went two years in a row it is a fantastic experience...I went the year Ivy Renfroe was a freshman then the following year...haven't been back since because of work...but it is a great time if you go!!

Do they reseed for the WCWS? If UK beats #1 UF do they get their spot or would it go to the next highest seed?

Do you know if the outfield seats are any good? That's the only tickets available. Any chance of getting tickets from fans of teams who go out early?

I'd like to see them move the women's softball and men's baseball championship series to different states. Why must they be in two rural cow states every year--oklahoma and nebraska, respectively? No, I'm not a fan of either state, though I know they do a good job of hosting the tourneys every year. Why not play in Washington State or Tennessee (Nashville) or Arizona or Michigan? They hold most of the other NCAA tourneys in different locales every years; they should do the same with softball/baseball. And I can't call them "world series" anymore--really dumb. Is Japan in the tourney? India, Germany? American hubris: It's an American championship but let's call it the WORLD series.

I have no problem with it being in one location- they are both centrally located. I am guessing that there aren't many neutral site softball facilities to choose from that can accommodate the size of the event. Additionally, metro OKC has 1.3 million people and metro Omaha has about 900k people. We aren't talking about small places.

Great interview of Megan, Rainey, and Ralph after the game. Ralph confirmed that Erin is having more problems with her hip and the doctor will look at her tomorrow. :frown:

Yeah those seats aren't bad...both years I went I had reserved seats...the seats under the covering are always sold out( OU fans have them) and yes you could find some reserved seats from teams that got knocked out and it does get hot sitting out there for all the games
