This was a really embarrassing performance by the LVs today. It's a terrible last impression for the selection committee, and I'm sure it will factor into national seeding. You could tell how frustrated Karen is by this team. Imagine having to tell your players to show some pride when playing for a conference championship and a top seed on national TV. Not a good look.

I am a casual softball viewer, but the only "next season" with this program is trying to compete for a title. One of the most consistent programs at UT. Sure, we all want titles, but this program excels at the highest level every year, unlike some others.

I really don't think the statement about next season has much to do with the program itself but the fact that many seasons a great pitcher is arriving that is going to be our pitcher of the future. This year was going to be Gabby Sprang which did not happen and next year Ashley Rogers.:hi:

Just a bit frustrated watching UF and Alabama win NC titles and the LVs highest ever has been 2nd twice

The Crow Hop is an illegal pitch, but Barnhill does it consistently.....Ralph needs to complain until he is thrown out of the game...

All about pitching in softball. When you walk 5 batters, hit one and make a couple of errors your setting yourself up for a big inning by the opposition. We've come up quite a bit short of pitching talent compared to Florida, but so has the entire SEC.
Get those pitchers in here and the Championships will come because if you opponent can't score your likely to win.

Plus how many of her feet land outside of the pitchers box. At least a portion of her foot is out every pitch. They can make a rule for batters but they let this pitcher go all over the place. She may have been out of the circle a few pitches really need to tighten up the rules.

?? UConn? UF has won a total of 2 Natties, the last one being 3 years ago. OU would be much closer to the UConn comparison. Even that isn't a good comparison.

UCLA 12 titles if you want to count every season. Arizona 8 titles. Florida has the most SEC titles in softball but have a long way to go to catch three or four Pac10 teams.

FLA, they came to slug and swing. That's a lot of what I saw. The Home plate Ump had his issues too. However even if the Ump, had done a better job, this game still would have gone to FLA.

Looks like the espn crew are giving already giving USCe the eighth seed win or lose tonight. If they win and are now 1-0 bottom of 3 i guess that would work but if they loose i don't see it happening.

Unless something magically changes with SC-E RPI after the tournament they aren’t going to be in the top 8. NCAA softball committee has over the last 5 years rarely strayed from the RPI.

That was the biased crew speaking on camera. They won one game in the tourney than us and they also lost to the same team we did be it a lessor margin, We were ranked 8 i think and them 12. They did drum us but overall i still think baring a total flub somewhere else as i said before the tourney started if we beat LSU which we did for the 4th time this year we are in TOP EIGHT. JMHOpinion which don't mean jack!:loco:

The Announcer at the Championships tonight said the SC Gamecocks were Coached by Karen and Ralph Weekly. Everyone but he instantly knew, he messed up... took him about 15 seconds to make the correction..LOL.

If SC gets the eight seed it would be a total ignore of what the committee looks at to determine these seeds. Tennessee has 18 and 11 record against the top 25 while SC is 12 and 11. Against the top ten Tennessee is 7 and 3 while SC is 3 and 6. Road record Tennessee 7 and 7 SC 7 and 11. Overall record Tennessee 45 and 12 SC 45 and 14. Tennessee ranked 8th coming into the tourney SC 14th don't see how beating Miss St and Kentucky is going to help them more than Tennessee beating LSU.
I heard them say that they thought SC had a 7 seed don't know what they based that on the numbers do not add up.
We also know they are not going to be seeded higher than Florida, Oklahoma, Florida St, UCLA, Oregon, Arizona St, or Washington.
Of course still got to play the regionals teams could lose there but right now they are no where near top 8 JMO.
