I don't know why TN's pitchers start so slowly but it's a pattern that they give up early inning runs and then settle down. With the defense not helping, it is imperative the pitchers bear-down and get strikeouts.
I was afraid we would be flat and Ole Ms. is a good team. I have noticed all year that the pitchers have started slow about every game. I mean all of them. We better start playing or we will do the unthinkable. All this talk about ending up in 2nd place or whatever has swelled our heads. Today I am not sure pitching is the name of the game like it almost always is.
Dang what an opportunity for this team...2nd place in the SEC up for grabs, up to 9th in the country, on the verge of maybe getting in position for a super-regional, playing an unranked middle of the pack team....
