I would have loved to see Gabby come in the 7th and thrown to a couple of batters. It was 7-2 and she would have got a big game opportunity. Ralph know what is going on and i don't but...

Megan Gregg's grand slam with two outs in the sixth saved us tonight. Hopefully we'll do better tomorrow. The Bearden experiment has to end and McSwain has to start hitting or we need to bench her as well.

Great to start conference play with a win!! Last two years we have started with 2 losses I believe SC and Arkansas

I think Ralph was trying to give McSwain and Bearden a benefit of the doubt older players starting SEC play maybe something would click for them but it did not....I look for Ayala to play in the next game in rf and maybe batts be the dp which would mean Lockman is the only righty batter which is fine by me

Get as many lefties in as you can against Missouri they have 5 pitchers all right handed. I haven't given up on McSwain she may still be a factor. Bearden is not going to hit she hasn't come close to a hit in over a month.

Mizz is going to be a good team down the road. I don't know why we cannot or donot get good right hand hitters. I know we have had a few in the past but it looks like Mizz has a group of RH freshman that will hit. I guess since we love the ground game so much may be part of the answer but HRuns seem to help like today. JMHO:)

We have at least one coming in next year that will be the catcher or dp in Shipman...and rogers should be a good righty hitter and pitcher too

Yes i really believe that AS will be the catcher by mid year. Lockman will not be able to hit much over 225 if that for an entire year. I know she has had some success this year so far but the SEC pitching will all but shut her down. We will lose SM but she is so iffy it don't hurt to lose her. I hate to stay on SM and Bearden but they are never going to cut it. Let the talented freshman play and give Weirmer a little love as well. JMHO:)

I would watch out for the home run ball today with Moss pitching. She has a tendency to get the ball up right across the plate. The one inning she pitched last night they nailed a couple that just went foul and they were rocket shots.
Today we need a lot of runs thinks it will be a high scoring game.

My thoughts as well. I would love for Gabby to get a chance to throw but that may mean we are losing. She needs to get some confidence and Mizery has a deep RH lineup. It seems other teams have pitchers that start pretty good from the getgo but no us this year and CA struggled early last year somewhat. Mostly mental i guess.:loco:

Sprang pitching and she looked great in first inning. If she can keep her control she will be a terrific pitcher today.

Sprang has everything a pitcher needs to be successful, excellent velocity and movement on her pitches. If she can master control and get ahead of hitters she will be a big winner at Tennessee.
