Ridiculously bad call by first base umpire--georgia player was out by 3 feet. WHY was he standing between first and second base when there were no base runners? That is wrong. You stand on the line so that you get calls at first correctly--and then you run across the field if there is an extra base hit and you need to make a call at second. That is always the way it's been done. He missed the call because he wasn't close to first base.
