Again, caution has to be exercised when evaluating the LVs against such overmatched opponents but Cooper and DeShields have already shown some one-on-one offensive flare that was definitely missing last season. Extrapolating a bit, DeShieldsÂ’ defensive play is nonchalant and she will need to put more effort in on that side of the game when the season gets going.
Dunbar looks fitter, is moving better and clearly is more at home in the low post. The potential problem is that she is a bit undersized and not much of a jumper so the real test will be how she can match up against more athletic and bigger players. But, she looks much more ready to compete this season.

Mercedes, she is actually the slight disappointment so far. She is running the court well but she should be dominating the paint against this team and there are lots of little things in the post she needs to clean up, like putting the ball in a spot where 5-6 players can tie her up.
