beats me,if I knew the answer to that question,I would be a wealthy man :)

I have seen this before, where players reach the point they are playing out the string. This is a beaten coach with a beaten team. The chemistry is awful and the future seems bleak. The players began to feel hopeless and lose their confidence. It would seem to me that they have completely lost their trust in Holly and her coaching staff. Holly with all of her coaching mishaps may have broken the spirit of this team. Loses to inferior teams also may have knocked the fire out of this team. When a team reaches that point it is difficult to muster up the fire to be competitive because whatever you are doing is simply not working. It seem that it is fruitless to believe that this coaching staff will ever win these players back, in essence the coaching staff, and this team, have been rendered useless. You either need a change in the coaching staff, or get rid of the players. Right now the best option is to chalk up your loses and get rid of the entire coaching staff.

It sure would be good to beat Georgia and have Missouri and Auburn lose. That puts TN into a 3 way tie for the 7th seed but they have the head to head tie breaker versus those two. The 8/9 winner has USCe in their second game. 7/10 is in the bracket opposite of USCe.

TN and Arkansas split their games this year... I don't know which team "wins" the tie breaker if they are tied for the 9/10 seed. 10 avoids the USCe bracket.

Wholeheartedly agree but I do not believe it will happen with the current law suit swirling in the wind and the way Hart was skewered in the recent Sports Illustrated article about women's athletics.

By the way ,I will post this again.....as I have many times this year.If Georgia plays a zone defense and LV's play with two low posts they will lose the game or it will be very close .The only way they win this game is to ignore head coaching and decide among themselves that they are going to play to win .If Holly will remove herself from giving instructions ,sit on the bench like she did one other time this season and turn the job of coaching over to someone else then the players just may decide to play .

This team folds mentally when things start to go wrong, and that has happened a lot under HW. Remember the Louisville debacle?

Bash deserves a great send-off, but she may have to put the team on her back to achieve it. Holly won't put anyone in the proper position to win, this we know for a fact.

Curious to see the attendance and mood of the fans after the Bama debacle and reaction to Holly's post-game meltdown and ridicule of her players, especially Carter. Does Warlick have the nerve to sit the "tense" junior and go with her best guard, Middleton? Will there be any shakeup? Will the players care enough for their senior sisters? Will DD wake up or continue to pout and lose fan support? Will Russell catch an entrance pass and take it to the hoop like a highly-rated 6-6 center should? Will Cooper continue to be a turnover machine and brick specialist? Will Reynolds blow a layup? Will Nared even show up?

Will the fans have to applaud half of the first quarter before a LV scores?

Will this post end? Yes.

Today is definitely a must win to get in the NCAA tourney and we probably need a win in the SEC tourney. I hate to see all the records go down the drain hopefully we can find a way to win a couple games and make the tourney.

This LV team is not good. A win would be a surprise. I'm as confident as DD

The fans will show up because there is great respect and appreciation for Bashaara. Impossible to know what the players will do. Carter said they wanted to send the seniors off right, but UGA won't be the cakewalk that Bama and LSU should have been.

The players could still rise above the coaching and turn things around in time for tournament play. If they want to and care enough.

Is this the first "must win" regular season game in Lady Vol history? If Tennessee wins, I would be confident they're in the tournament regardless of what happens in Jacksonville. If they lose this one, we're going to be sweating on selection Monday.....
I'm sorry, maybe an inappropriate question but, what does it matter "If Tennessee wins, I would be confident they're in the tournament regardless of what happens in Jacksonville. If they lose this one, we're going to be sweating on selection Monday". Do you really see us advancing in the tournament?

Has HW changed ANYTHING to improve our offense in the last month? I haven't seen it. We keep doing the same thing, with the same players. The biggest change all year has been sitting DD for half the game--which weirdly doesn't seem to have had a huge effect one way or the other. We play pretty badly with and without her.
