Great win Ladies. I rather you beat the Lady Cats than any other team in the SEC, which is saying something because of my complete dislike of the Lady Commodores.

Yes, the coaching was great. Holly and Co. are doing a wonderful job. I was impressed by the results of the scouting that Elzy did with Georgia.

Great result. Lots of momentum for the finals now.

SEC network hack Nell Fortner has refused to give the Lady Vols any real credit all season. IIRC she picked Kentucky to win the tournament. Glad she continues to look like clueless hack she was (as a coach) and still is (as a commentator).

Another very good win by the ladies. I have been extremely impressed with the way this team has been playing since Izzy went down. They're playing with purpose and I love it.

Great win LVs. IMO UK tried the same defensive approach to UT that they used against USC in their regular-season final-game win: collapse the paint hard and force the guards to score by shooting over them. USC struggled at this shooting 6-22. UT responded by shooting 9-19, which pretty much put their backs to the figurative wall.

The big question now will be: will the Vols come tomorrow at 3:30 rested enough for USC's bigs? USC dominated the boards in their last game, although UT stayed in the game to the end with inspired play from Graves and Burdick...

Kentucky really isn't all that good--they overachieve because they are very scrappy and they play physical when things are not going their way. We struggled tonight. Burdick, Nared and Carter played well, and Moore did her job. Everybody else was pretty shaky. Reynolds was not good; we will not beat anybody good with a performance like that from her--turnovers, slopping ball-handling, missed shots--lots of relatively easy shots that she wasn't even close to making. Massengale was 1-9. Too much dribbling by those two and not enough quick passing and ball movement. I blame that on coaching.

We had 20 turnovers and gave up 20 offensive rebounds. Rebounding was our undoing last time against South Carolina and we will lose again if we can't rebound their missed shots.Still, we're in the final and let's play better tomorrow. We'll have to. The fact that it is a neutral court, with a nice contingent of Vol fans, should help.

Did Fortner really pick Kentucky to win the tourney? A rather dumb pick when there are two teams that are clearly better--even if kentucky beat sc in the last game of regular season--and lsu is just as good. Kentucky overachieves--not really all that talented, and I've seen them play three times.

The keys to winning today is playing even on the boards, about 8 to 10 threes, and 45 percent overall shooting. Limit turnovers to 10. If we do these four things I can see us beat SC today. Massengale being hot today will be huge. She had a bad game against Kentucky so hopefully she will have a great day today.
