Outstanding team win. I just wish Russell would stop being so passive. We didn't get her the ball much but she sure didn't demand the ball. She should get 20 every night.

It is impressive how quickly Nunn has adjusted to this caliber of play. The LVs can't wing against good teams without contributions from their role layers. And Nunn made some clutch plays when the LVs desperately needed some points and some momentum.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how weak ND interior D was without Turner on the floor.


And did you see that even though Kortney didn't get a shot and didn't score a point, she had a girl always guarding her closely thus keeping them from packing the paint. :)

They don't have size or depth at the post. Westbald and Boley at PF and Nelson at C are their weaknesses in the roster. Boley will get better, but she's not that physical nor much of a rebounder. Nelson is probably a disappointment for them considering that she has size and was a highly sought after recruit. As a whole, they play good team defense, but didn't do a good job protecting the paint from dribble drives.

I didn't even realize Kortney was in the game for those few minutes until another poster pointed it out. :lolabove:

omg, I have one old female mini dachshund barking in her sleep on the doggie couch, another dachshund in my chair laying on his back asleep and a black cat snoring while sleeping on the window sill behind me..

they must have put in a hard night of playing?

Last night's win bumped our Massey rating up to #21 and SOS to #5. RPI is up to #15 (ND is still #2 - a HUGE win).

Biggest hole in our NCAA tourney resume right now might be a solid road win. Here's to hoping last night's Lady Vols show up on Thursday...

watching Russell trying and mostly failing to score down low against Turner shows me that no one ever taught her how to use her off arm to ward off the defender. She should watch that hook shot video I posted a couple days ago... :(

Yes...good call to go with Nunn when ND went with two bigs in Turner and Nelson. Then going back to MeMe when Nelson came out.

Meh... on the three fouls deal. Don't get too much credit for that...that is BBALL 101.

All in all..... the offense looked the same....they just made shots in the 4th.

Turner is 6'3 and nelson 6'4 . westbelt is 6'2 they are not small we won the game and holly sub great and fouling at the end didn't allow notre dame to run a play . One thing I want this win to do is the same thing it did for notre dame . elevate them to beat notre dame where ppl compare them to Uconn this is a HUGE Win esp in front of new chancellor. Huge WIn. we needed it

When ND player went from high to low post on her side of the zone!!! Cortney was still guarding the wing??? But since she gets so little PT I am amazed she knows which end is ours😜
