That was a good shot by Jones against the zone--even though she missed it and then fouled. She has a nice jumper--and if she flashes into space, catches and shoots, as she did on that play, she can help our offense against a zone. That is what you want to do, find a open spot, catch and shoot.

The male official is TERRIBLE.

Every year they make the rules worse. It was almost unwatchable last year and both the rules and refs are even worse this year.

Why don't we just not play the game anymore- the game is becoming unwatchable. You can't even look at another player without getting the foul called.

Now they are calling every bump a foul. You have to let them play a little. Good grief. I can't stand the officiating in the women's game.

I'll be interested to see how playing time distribution works itself out over the course of the season. It's pretty apparent some of the girls are just not as good as the others. I know Carolyn Peck said we can go 12 deep but I don't really see that benefitting us over the long term.

If they can stay out of foul trouble, bury Jones and Reynolds on the bench, and keep Mitchell from going off, they'll win comfortably. But the fouls are a bit worrisome.

well I do have to say I don't much like the new rule changes much at all, it is ridiculous at the way they are calling fouls

They are trying to artificially inflate the scoring but it never occurred to them that no one comes to see the best players sit on the bench unless they are willing to play matador defense.

Graves and Russell have been money.

Add me to the list that doesn't see any huge improvement with Jasmine Jones. Cooper is the only guard that hasn't been invisible so far this game.

Penn State hit some shots that were very tough and well guarded. If they do that all game it will be a lot closer than expected. I counted four or five shots that teams usually don't make that went in for them.

If Holly is going to play the platoon game then Diamond and Cooper need to be on the same team.
