Game Thread Lady Vols vs Syracuse in the Elite 8

No defense can guard 30 ft. threes. Their guards are just better and no Reynolds and two players with freshly broken fingers.

Hard to beat a team that is as hot as Syracuse has been from 3 when you're team can't hit 3's. We need to recruit someone that can shoot the rock or teams will continue to play a sagging zone against us. There isn't anything Holly can do other than recruit a shooter. And please don't say we have one, Dunbar isn't even close to what Syracuse puts on the court

'cuse forced them to play faster than they planned. not sure why they never pressed to prevent 'cuse having almost their entire shot clock to set-up plays. didn't play or coach very smart today. russell seems like a completely different player today.

Well congrats to the Lady Vols on a good run..we lose a couple of players but we have a good group coming back..I will support them no matter who is the coach..hell I supported football thru the Dooley and Kiffin eras so I can take anything

The coaching staff and players were not prepared. The better team is going to win. When Russell and Nared gave up back to back threes to Butler shut the door. Poor defense. This is the true Tennessee team. Lost and confused. I was very proud of Holly's efforts during this tournament up until now. Very unacceptable.

She finally takes Russell out but replaces her with MeMe and goes with a lineup of Carter, Cooper, Dunbar, Nared and MeMe, that should tell you all you need to know as to why Holly isn't a good Head Coach, it looked like she learned a few weeks ago but I'm starting to believe the players got together and began to play in spite of her

15-29 from three. That's just plain filthy - and a lack of defense. I think losing a good PG hurt us a lot in this game, and then we got rattled enough for Bad Tennessee to rear its head. Never found a way inside the defense, made the pass too late, and just wasn't sharp. A shame. A promising team with a bad season and an above average tournament performance (for them). On to the next year.

Dunbar may be the. Best 3 pt shooter on our team but she is t even one of the top 20 best in the SEC

Considering the fact that a women's ball is smaller and around 2 oz's lighter than a regular size 7 ball. So, yeah they can jack up a half court shot easier.
