Completely different system. Fairly hard full court pressing, shooting a lot of threes, crashing for rebounds on misses, swapping out 5 players at a time to keep the energy at a maximum at all times.

And it is really, really effective when you have player buy-in.

I think that's really key. The returning players fully bought into this new system and playing with that intensity and fire.

I loved that you mentioned player buy-in. Coach Caldwell has used that and emphasized that so much in interviews!

It’s excellent coaching through and through.

Though CKC was able pull talent from the portal, she doesn’t have a full roster of her prototypical player. She has also has Tess looking like a completely different player. Coaching.

We're still only 1 of 5 from the free throw stripe. Soon enough we're gonna need those points.

Of course, A&M is 3 of 9... so maybe the lines are crooked.

There is no real simple answer. It's a little of both. The recruiting from the portal was , in one word, terrific. But, we have a coach who is demanding of effort and quality play. Not saying she gets that 100% of the time, but she has no problem holding any of her players to account.

Agreed, I love the Summitt blue trim, but I think the uniforms are overflowing with it. I would dig these shorts with full orange shirts, though.

The ESPN ticker just cares about helping fans identify the teams, so it's going to focus on the primary color, ofc.

Thank you for the explanation. I saw the stat - knocking down 30 3’s in a game and I was like what is going on. Glad to see the rise back to the top. Hopefully they make a deep run this year. Sure looks like they are the real deal.
