Collins and Burrell look like beast on the board. That is a super plus. Adding upperclassman Green and KK to the mix, as starters, we should be able to rule the boards in most games. I was concerned when the Lady Vols slowed the ball down in the 3rd quarter trying to get the ball inside. We did take a few crazy shots in the first half, but this team has speed and can dribble drive and have shown the ability to shoot the mid range shot. In the 4th quarter we quit slowing the ball down and took sensible shots, including dribbler drives by Davis and took control of the game. We do not want to become one dimensional just because we are tall.

I agree on this. The touch fouls were pathetic while we were being mugged in the paint. I was at the game and you can see some things that the focal point on TV doesn't show. It was like the officials got together and said, they are way over matched so let's even things out some. I think those wide open layups may have been because LV's were concerned with being called for a foul for anything they did. No excuse for the unchallenged 3 point shots, though. LV's were off this game which happens to anyone. I really feel that this team is special and will go deep in the NCAA tourney.

Team played flat and couldn't buy a shot too many times. I'd give the officials a 50/50 score. Half of what they called was right. Those little hand check fouls are ridiculous. We were being mugged on the inside a lot. Too many out of control shots taken going to the basket. They're much better than this and will prove it. Tonight was really an off night. Did manage to snag a T shirt being thrown for the little girl sitting in front of me. So, that was good.

After watching most of the SEC teams, all are a work in progress. Ladies we got time, get better.

I loved that UNCASh ran zone too. We have time.

We've yet to play a game with our best player at 100% - Davis sat for 5 days straight in a boot and this game was her first game back. She even stated she felt winded and wasn't up on her stamina which affected her game. I'm not too worried.

Rennia needs to heal up while the timing is perfect....Coaches can look at their deep roster players for extended runs without jeopardizing. . . See what they can do once the nerves wear off. Learn your player's abilities while the schedule allows it. And STAY the course until you have to abandon it!

Coaches can use this cupcake time as well to work on in-game strategies...Dictating matchups...Countering...Timeouts for other than end-games...instructing when fun borders silly...Not letting opposing players have career nights...Not letting the offense hit a wall between end of Q2 and start of Q4 (Like it did this past game. That was last year. Stop that crap now).

We won a couple but we have a lot of work to do still.
