Notre Dame called off the dogs and were burning clock. They knew the game was in the bag. Tennessee harassed some of the end-of-bench players, and forced Muffet to send Turner back in. I wouldn't put too much into the scoring run at the end of the game. If they did that when the game was still in reach, that would be a different story.

Vandy has never won in Knoxville, which is a little surprising as they've had some great teams in the past and these two teams were playing twice a season long before the SEC expanded their schedule to require it. This is not one of those great Vandy teams, but this still seems like as good an opportunity as any to steal a win and add yet another negative record to Holly's resume.

And speaking of records, if the Lady Vols lose this game you can likely say goodbye to their nation-leading millionth consecutive week in the top 25 poll (one of the few things we still have on UConn)....

Vandy may have never played a UT teams this lackluster since CPS first began coaching the LV's.

This game is about as must win as they come. We've lost two in a row...3 out of the last 4 and after this game a gauntlet minus Alabama awaits. Arkansas should be a win but after the debacle in Fayetteville who knows.

If this team has any self respect, they will not lose to Vandy. If they do lose to Vandy, they will likely be the worst Tennessee team in over 40 years. I hope they realize they are destroying a great basketball tradition. It is time that when they are able to get the ball inside to Russell, she, at least, attempts to score instead of passing back out for another turn over. There is a chance that she may score, but when the ball is turned over any chance of scoring goes away. Over passing is getting to be another real problem. This is offense sucks and needs to be changed if the team is going to make the NCAA tournement.

Vandy likely to win but if LV win savor it because wins this year will be hard to come by....double digit losses are a sure bet.Even making the NCAA Tourney is in question.It is time LV fans including me recognize that the good times are over and likely not to return in the next decade.

She's 6'6. She should be able to see over the tops of the 5'10 guards that were double/tripling her, unless Turner was in front of her.

Her teammates did her no help by just standing there watching as they are prone to do.

Watching last night's men's game,it struck me that it must be a prerequisite to play basketball at Tennessee (men or women) that you must never ever guard an opponents' three point shot. Why else would both teams leave so many wide open shooters? Especially when it's known which teams shoot threes well.

Holly and team loses this game tonight we'll be 11 and 9 before you know it. I wonder why this team was picked number three in the nation with Holly coaching the team. I personally thought they would only lose three games in spite of Holly but guess Holly was to big an influence on them.
