We are a projected 5 seed. They are projected 8-9. So yeah inferior opponent and we lost again after getting down 20. Not great but proud of the fight back. That will for sure get us somewhere!

Defense has to be better to play in the SEC you can't give up 80 points to Vandy. Gave up 27 in the first quarter that is just poor defense. If she doesn't have anyone on this staff that can teach better defense she needs to get her somebody our defense in this game was a huge part of the problem.

Big letdown these last two weeks. Plus my UNLV Lady Rebels dropped their conference finale on the road. I hate basketball right now! Just kidding, I'm pouting.

Kim hit the scene with a 'different' style of play. It caught teams off guard and brought some enthusiasm while making the team fun to watch. However the coaching community took notice and began to plan their attack. You cannot expect good coaches to rest on their laurels while some new kid on the block comes in knocking on their door. The playbook on how to play Tennessee is out and the adjustments have to be made. Yes, the players aren't 'her' players or 'right' for the system, but they did well overall. But on Rocky Top well isn't what's expected.

Hopeful for the tournament still. Time heals, let's hope that rings true. Go Lady Vols.

We got the best point guard coming into the program in the 2025 class IMO and four other players that are better than almost all of the players we are playing now.

She really can't rest on that and neither can Danny White. If he wants this program back to the top then were going to need to get the best players out of the portal as well. The AD and whomever controls getting the resources to get those players better come through. They need to be bigs maybe one elite shooter. We have to add two or three elite players and keep the ones we have coming back. I think that will lead to a lot of success in year two.

I hope they won’t be stagnant in the portal but I’m not going to act like this system doesn’t need some tweaking. Teams have figured out what we’re trying to do and adjusted. I hope Kim learns from some of it like she said she realized how long and difficult the SEC is and might make changes, But then I wonder when she was quoted in the game yesterday by Steffi as saying that she tried to change of some of it in the past and it turned out worse. Maybe that was a mischaracterization of what she said, but that doesn’t sound like someone who is willing to adjust it. We’ll see I guess.

That’s great but this is the SECT, not NCAA. What’s your expectations? Mine is S16 minimum.

Well, I'm glad we at least got it back to single digits. Hopefully that's enough to keep us on the 5-seed line and not drop down to a 6-seed. A 20+ point loss probably would've done that.

I thought UNC was about to do us a favor, but they pull out the 7-point win against BC.

I think that’s actually where we agree. But with the way they’ve played down the stretch and having to go on the road now, a S16 would be a pleasant surprise. 1st round loss would no doubt be very disappointing. 2nd round would be eh at this point imo

The novelty of this offense is wearing off. It doesn't seem to affect the better teams by getting
them gassed by 4th qtr and seems to affect our team more than the opponent. It possibly gives
a few more turnovers, but many times that seems to be offset by the easy baskets against our
defense on the fast break.

That to be determined when she has better athletes on the backend to play it. We have a few most graduating that could never play in a system like this and that is what she should have realized. She had no choice but to keep them this season. It will be a lot more on her as a coach next season than it was this season. A lot more on the system next season than this one. If she can't win with it next year she never will in the SEC. Going to have 10 much better options and seeing what they do in the portal hopefully as many as fourteen.
