I have PTSD, seriously. In years past if we started a game like that we tended to play that way the rest of the night. Not used to having a coach that will light a fire in her team and get their head right in short order. Kim coaches on principle, no games off, no plays off.Started out both games in this tourney a little flat. When we hit that top gear we can really play basketball. I loved the effort expended on defense in the second quarter.
They play really awesome one or two quarters a game. Kim is trying to get them to do it for four quarters.Other than South Carolina, there’s not a team in the SEC that matches up with the depth of Tennessee from 1-10.
That’s just a fact.
The players coming off the bench as reserves have started for 1-3 years at Tennessee or in the ACC other than freshman G Kaniya Boyd.
People waiting for that ultimate collapse during SEC play won’t see it.
They could drop some games because it’s part of the sport you don’t have to go undefeated to be one of the best teams in the sport.
This team could beat any team in WBB.
They haven’t played anywhere close to their ceiling which is just astonishing for an undefeated team in a new system with a new head coach.
Not a great end to that quarter. Players started to get tired because we didn’t sub as much that quarter.
Apparent against better coached teams we can’t sub like we want. A couple players are just too much of a liability on defense.
Didn’t get matched up on our press well after subs a couple times as well. Players have to communicate better. A well coached team like Richmond will get a layup off of that every time.
This is a very good Richmond team, they are receiving votes and Texas only got them by 10.
Need to keep turning them over and play our game and we should be good. Hate all the open layups threat getting on the press today. We have to adjust on that, they are throwing the long pass so someone has to be back and ready to pick that off.
