Game thread - Vols vs Gators - 2pm EST CBS

Gator if you guys end up losing this game what do you think your chances are of making the dance?

I would say the KY game is a must win.

Plus a game or two in the SEC wouldn't hurt for them.

I have been saying this on this very site for over a month, even when Florida was 5-2 in conference play, that Florida would really struggle to get to 10-6, which is where I think they needed to be to comfortably be in the tourney.

At the timne, I pretty much correctly predicted the wins and losses. The only screw-up was the UGA game, which I had in the W column. To get to ten wins, the Gators would have to beat both MSU on the road and Kentucky and I feel fairly confident that UF is going to lose at MSU, meaning that even if they beat Kentucky to end the regular season, they will be 9-7.

Bear in mind, I am not predicting a victory over Kentucky. I'm saying they need it. Given the loss to UGA and the way this one is going, and assuming a loss at MSU and a win over Kentucky in Gainesville, I'd say that Florida has to advance to the conference finals to feel safe. The semis might do it, depending on what happens elsewhere around the country (and in conference).

Proviso: If UF beats both MSU and Kentucky and wins a first round SEC game, then they probably squeak in.

There we go! Needed him to hit that...

Whoever said Prince ignoring Maze earlier...He was just then. LOL
