Western Carolina is actually a much improved team with a new, highly regarded coach. This may have been a better performance by LVs than it looks.

Hard to tell. OU trounced them even worse than we did. Similar style with pace of play. OU was shooting lights out in that game though. 60%+ from the floor and 10-18 from 3. I don’t think they’ll shoot like that consistently.

91 shot attempts to 40. That is just hard to believe. We had 13 turnovers and they had 37. 31 offensive rebounds to 4. Rebounds 47 to 22.

I had 100 to 60. Not bad but no cigar. This is there best game of the year as I see it. Always enjoyed watching the Lady Vol’s. My girl Sara didn’t have her best game, but it’s coming. Nice win. As always go Lady Vol’s.

They say it’s a game of possessions and Kim has taken that to heart. It’s almost impossible to lose when you’re giving yourself that many more looks at the basket.

If we'd shot 60 percent we'd scored something like 135 points. We shot 46 percent not to bad, but the 10 for 41 from the three is ugly.

Not really. Coming off a 10 day layoff and playing without a solid scorer tonight this was a legit beat down. I think they were dialing it back some and just working on the execution while still winning by 50+.
Oklahoma scored 76 points against Southern. I believe if Tennessee played Southern tonight they would score a lot more than 76 points.
Point is, I believe Tennessee is as good as Oklahoma or any other team in the SEC.

Great backstory on Spencer's speed free throw shooting. Had the yips once, so just catches and shoots to avoid thinking about it.

Jill seems more active and involved tonight. Loved the pick n roll!

Don't you remember Samara Spencer missing late game free throws as an Arkansas freshman at Tennessee? Free throws that would have won the game for them. Sounds like she got a free throw coach following that melt down.

I’m not sold on OU and have said as much. They returned a lot and added Beers but I just don’t see it.

Yes they won the Big 12 last year but the Big 12 truly is not very good imo. Idk why they have so many ranked teams right now. Bunch of huge, slow teams. Texas was not as good last season due to injuries and some other issues. Since Baylor left that league has been a joke imo.

I maintain OU is in for a rude awakening night in and night out in the SEC. There just aren’t any teams you can truly take lightly like there are in the Big 12. On any given night someone like Auburn or Vandy will give you a run for your money.

Wells is the off player out this season and I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple other players get very limited minutes as we get into the SEC.

Really can't compare games. I would say that a Tennessee Oklahoma game would be a even game and the team executing the best would win. You would hope to be able to get 10 shots more than they do and shoot the same percentage. SEC games are going to be three or four possession games when you play the better teams. Should have some advantage in home games and dis advantage on the road.

Defensively they are going to be excellent. Tina Langley is one of the best defensive minds in women’s college basketball. Her Rice teams were miserable for anyone to play against.

Offensively they are below average. I would say they are a top 50 team, LSU wasn’t ready for that level of defense though and it showed.

They were supposed to be a 22 point underdog to LSU. LSU is the best team they have played. The others were more like the team we played tonight and they didn't win those by as much as we did.
