Gameday Experience vs Win / Loss

Whats more important to you? In a perfect world, the weather is always good, you find a parking space within a mile of Neyland and the Vols win by three touchdowns, but weather, traffic and the Vols dont always come through. We all want the Vols to win them all but does a loss ruin the whole experience for you?

Nothing better than a Vols win, and I have been a Vol from day one and win or lose, being there in Knoxville or on the road, it is summed up real easy. Winning is good but being a VOL well that is a #1. So I invite us all to enjoy that it is

"Football time in Tennessee"

It's great to be a Tennessee VOL. :dance2:

We're all in good company here.

A loss ruins my weekend and depresses me for the following week. Last year I was depressed all fall, at least after the white hot anger from each loss subsided.

Yeah my fall was miserable too. If it wasn't for Coach Pearl and the BasketVols, last year would have been the worst of my life as a Tennessee fan.

yeah, lsing usually destroys my Sat. night- I end up drinking it off. By Monday, I'm over it.

It's especially bitter when we lose to freakin UGA- b/c everybody and their brother- even people a barely know, call me up to rub that sh*t in >=\

Agreed. There couldn't have been a better year for our basketball program to get resurrected.

And its nice to know we have that in our pocket in case football remains disappointing - which I am not expecting to be the case.

i hate it when we lose. it makes my whole weekend suck! there have been a few occasions when i felt like it was a good game; it just so happened the other team either outplayed us or had more heart that particular day.

Alabama game Peyton's freshman year. 1st and goal with a TD needed to win. We do not convert, but that was the only time that I felt Neyland reached its noise potential. Every play of that drive was broken up by truly deafening crowd noise. Hated the outcome, but loved the atmosphere.

Winning breeds a better atmosphere. Kind of hard to have a great day when the Vols lose. Not impossible but hard. Better moods, louder cheering, and a happy ending sprinkled with fairy dust when the Vols are victorious. Win Big Orange!!

I was there that game. Loud and fun until the end. That killed the atmosphere and didn't feel like drinking anymore. Mood killer.
