i dont care much, its just a respect thing. of course, with how our fans have been this year, i wouldnt come here either, the fans are silent this year for some reason.
what happened to the days when even the worst of opponents would be welcomed by a rowdy crowd? now days, if its not florida, georgia, or alabama, its just a saturday get together at the stadium.

I agree with your statement. I think one of the reasons, start with the UAB game. The crowd was totally dead because of to much hurricane coverage and high gas prices where on peoples minds. Also, it was UAB, and that's no excuse for not being loud. Then the Vols put us to sleep with that performance. Some of us hardcore Tennessee fans have found out the truth about our stadium. Our University promotes the size of the crowds, however visiting teams are not in awe of the noise. This hurts our team. The way our stadium is designed, the noise should be so loud that the other team cannot hear their quarterback call signals. I'm very disapointed in our home crowds.
One more point about the UAB game, it is Stupid to have a game in that heat, all Sept/Oct games should be played at night (bottom line).
I do know that the Athletic Department hates night games, I have said that before on this board. There reasons require them to work a little more. They don't like that. (TO BAD) I say. So turn those lights on and lets get rowdy and have a night game.
The fossil section, as I like to call it, that would be the West sidelines lower bowl, needs to get off there hands and get into the game. Quit complaining about those fans who stand up and yell. I'm glad I sit on the other side.
We need ole Neyland to be a place of fear for our visitors, not a comfort zone.
I know there will be people who do not share the same views as my statements above, I'm proud to be from Tennessee, and I know people are beating our doors down to live in this great state. Just checkout our growth of people moving here from other places.

Well, unfortunately Oklahoma crumbles against good linebacking. UCLA's linebackers are pretty good but Texas' are even better.

Yeah I agree, who knows though? Maybe, we'll luck up and they'll put a decent game together and pull off the upset

Wow, ESPN screwing over Tennessee for Ohio State. I'm so surprised. Nobodys is interested in seeing the no5 and no 7 team playing. :corso: :espn: :finger:

i think theyll come. the ou texas game has lost some swagger because of ou's flop. the other game they could go to is ohio state vs penn state in happy valley. but i think the larger national draw is definetly ut uga.

I guess they need to get to Happy Valley before Penn State gets into the meat of their schedule.
