Gameday sealed our win today

Yes, but Texas had Quinn Ewers.
I’m only speaking defensively.

If Bama has to “load the box” to stop the run, I think Milton will play well. Tenn has faced mostly 2-3 deep coverage since first drive vs Florida. That’s one reason the run game has been so successful. Joe & wRs have struggled in intermediate passing game. That’s a big IF thou.

Joe Milton-

Quinn Ewers-

Jalen Milroe-

There's always a chance we win today. Maybe Josh has some crazy surprises in the game plan or Joe has the best game of his career. I think we finish the season 8-4 or 9-3.

9 wins would be a really good season given what we have at QB. I hate that the 3 losses would be against our 3 biggest rivals but would still be a really good season.

If we play up to our potential, we win. If we play like we have been playing, I do not think we can overcome the mistakes and penalties. I believe the team with the least mistakes wins. I believe spotting the bubbas 8.5 is sound money. I believe another three point win is also possible. Go Vols! See y'all at 2:30 central time.

This is still statistically a good matchup. I think the whole talking head club are picking the Sabanites to win based on home field advantage and crowd noise. If you take away that, our defense matches pretty well with theirs. The big rock on the weight-scale, is quarterback play. They know Milton is not trusted to throw the ball, for whatever reason (receivers, injuries, route-running), so they're going to stack the box and MAKE him throw; MAKE Heupel & Halzle put in some vertical game. They are also aware that Saban instructed the crowd to get loud, so they're expecting a lot of dumb penalties and to get a lot of 3 & outs--if,if, IF they can shut down Small, Wright, and Samson. I think if we can stay disciplined, throw enough to keep them honest, and get back to TEMPO football, we can wear that defense out by not giving them enough time to sub. We can't play their game, or they'll win by time-of-possession and penalty stacks. This is a winnable game though.
It will be like the Texas A&M game. I just hope our pass game is better.

Joe steps up with short quick passes. 23 of 31 with 217 yards and 175 rushing by the RB group. Win by 1 final drive int to seal it. Let’s gooooooo! 🤘🍊⬜🟧

It's not at all surprising that the short sighted ignoramuses of the national media are picking Alabama - our only game this season in a hostile environment was a disaster and Milton was bad last Saturday. Most of them still look at us as a high flying offense gone bad, and don't give our running game and defense the respect they have earned.

These are big 'ifs', but if we can stay ahead of the sticks and cut out the false start penalties (more likely with Cooper at C), if Milton can be efficient enough to make the defense pay occasionally for selling out on the run, and if the D-Line can live in the Bama backfield and force a couple of turnovers, there's every chance we can win today.

Because Milton can’t think in a hostile crowd. As long as our center Mays is there to get everyone in position, Milton should be ok.

Poster probably should wait on any further bold predictions. Vols have sealed the victory … as the score indicates
