What do we think about the Vandy/UK game tomorrow? UT fans, do you cheer for one or the other team or do you cheer for an earthquake or something? I know Vandy isn't ranked and has had some terrible home losses early in the year but this is a game I'm worried about.

Heres whats going to happen--

Vandy will have a record crowd, the place will be shaking. 3 guards will get red hot and they'll shoot lights out. UK will foul out a star player......who'll win? Could go either way, but if Cats win big I'll be very impressed. They never do well in Nerdville.

Seriously? Nashville, freaking TN as nerdville? That's like calling KY reading land.

Vandy is the Duke of the SEC.

Its easier to find a hooker at a chess club than a hot chick in the Vandy student section.

I've seen better looking broads at the kennel.

Gary Parrish from CBS says...

Guaranteed to be an upset: I think Kentucky has the nation’s best roster, is the nation’s best team and will win the national championship. Unless Anthony Davis’ arms shrink before Selection Sunday, I’m picking the Wildcats to win it all. Write it down in blood. But John Calipari’s team is going to lose Saturday night at Vanderbilt just like I watched Billy Donovan’s second national championship team at Florida once lose at Vanderbilt. I don’t know how it’s going to happen or why, but it’s going to happen. And then this Kentucky team is never going to lose again. You can write that down in blood too.

Earlier in the season back in Dec, I figured Candy would win because of Ky's youth and Candy's experience. Now, I don't know. The key to me will be three matchups.

1. Davis vs. Ezeli. Stokes held his own for the most part against Ezeli when he should've been a high school senior. Davis is a much better player. If Davis plays smart, and he has all year for the most part, he'll get the best of Ezeli. As a sidenote, Ezeli's knees have been bothering him again. That could be big because if he's less than 100% then Davis will have a field day. Ezeli will try to muscle Davis and push him around, but Davis' length and athleticism will give Ezeli some trouble. Even if Ezeli pushes Davis around, Davis is long enough where he can recover.

2. Kidd-Gilchrist vs. Taylor. Taylor has owned just about every matchup in SEC play. No one has been able to contain him for the most part. Kidd-Gilchrist has the athleticism to though. This year it seems as Taylor goes, Candy goes.

3. Goulbourne vs. Jones. I'm assuming this is who gets Goulbourne. He's the X-factor for Candy. He's usually really good or sometimes just exists. He's not as talented as Jones, but Jones goes MIA at times too.

The book on Candy though is to press their guards and get in Tinsley's grill. Look at all of Candy's losses in the 1st round of the tourney and you can attribute it to the other team having more athletic guards. If Ky can pressure Tinsley and disrupt their offensive flow, they'll win in my opinion. Jenkins is going to get his points. The key will be to make Tinsley uncomfortable and to win the three matchups above. Hell, they might not even have to win them, but just hold their own. I think Ky will win two of them at least and win a close game. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they lose, but if they do, it'll be their only SEC loss in my opinion.

I'm most looking forward to the Davis-Ezeli, Taylor-Kidd-Gilchrist matchups. 4 potential NBA players there.

im pulling for no one and really honestly could care less because i really dislike both teams. I think id root for a gas explosion under a school for blind children before either of those teams got the thumbs up

but sorry cat fans...that whack job in memorial is even more screwed than rupp
i'll watch because it should be a good game and even tho uk is far more talented, home cooking is gonna make cat pause go in meltdown mode for a couple of hours

Wonder how the refs are gonna call this game. Imo UT got jobbed at VU and UK, but the refs seem to call favorably for UK at any venue (after their game at TBA). Im calling a UK win and a Stallings cry fest after some questionable calls.

Edit: when I say we got jobbed I still believe we were soundly beaten.

UK is 3-7 at Memorial in the last decade, so, no, they don't get "all the calls."

I agree with Mr. Parrish.

Since both teams can't lose, I hope Candy gets it shoved down their throat. At least Ky has a reason to be arrogant. They've been successful. Candy is arrogant for no damn good reason. They have won a women's bowling title. That's it.

Some of the biggest bunch of prick fans I've ever had the misfortune of encountering. They can't lose enough IMO.
