Games we must win.

Step away from the ledge. If you had @Florida and @Alabama as wins, you might need to readjust your expectations. Other than Georgia, we should be favored from here out. Keep recruiting and get Nico ready for next year...
I'm not sure why we shouldn't have expected to win at UF. We'll see if I'm wrong, but I think UF finishes around 6-6 this year. USC was oh so close and Kentucky absolutely took them to the woodshed.

Maybe I am a pessimist but now it’s time for me to not worry about ”must” wins. I am just going to sit back and enjoy the games without getting worked up over a bad play or bad call etc..
The goal every year should be the playoffs but in a thread before the season started my guess if I was betting was an 8-4 season considering the players we lost.
Next year I think will be a challenge losing so many senior starters but I think the program is heading in the right directions. Alabama worries me for the next 2-3 years since they had a lot of underclassmen starting.

I think Vandy & UConn are the only ones that are close to locks. This team will struggle with the others.
Agreed. One would have to assume we'd take care of Vandy and UConn at home. Beating UGA at Knoxville would be a more incredible upset than last years bama game. UGA is just on another level athletically and when they're awake, their physicality is elite. I don't see this roster being able to handle that. As for those road games, I just can't believe in this team on the road until they prove it. UK and Mizzou aren't bama or uga, but they aren't vandy either. UK will make us their super bowl as usual. They'll be rabid. Will we be able to trade punches with them or will we fold? Mizzou really scares me. They've got the qb and skill players that will test us greatly. Several times vs bama, their athletes just ran away from our defenders. We're better, but not there yet. Of the two, I think UK might be our best bet for a split. 3 more wins puts us where I've always thought we'd be. This is an 8 win roster. Can they get to 9? Sure, but not to be repetitive, this team hasn't shown me that it can win outside of Neyland. They just don't possess the mental strength/maturity to get it done in a hostile environment yet. I don't think we've got those personalities among the upperclassmen. Eventually, I think our younger players will get us over the hump, but this senior class? I have my doubts.

This team may lose all their road games outside this state. They just quit playing at times... Missouri and Kentucky will both be out for blood.. Yeah we have a little more talent than both, but a handful of jersey negates that as we witnessed last night.

This is a piss poor outlook. Should we just assume we lose to any decent team since it’s on the road? Good teams and coaches find a win to win ball games. FL and Bama were more beatable this year than I imagine we will see in a long time. As far as “next year” people really need to look at our starters. We lose a ton of seniors. Next near may not be pretty.

Mizz isn’t a lock on the road. They are playing good ball. Ky isn’t a give me either. So many fans have adjusted expectations to align with the butch/Dooley/Pruitt years and it’s sad.

They beat Kentucky / lose to Mizzou (road game and they are pretty good this year) and lose to UGA. Finish 8-4. Maybe get into a lower tier bowl in Florida.

If they win the bowl game they finish ranked 22-25. If they lose, they finish 8-5 and out of the top 25. This is a very mediocre team that does not play well on the road.

Next year . . . Unless the coaching staff either gets lucky or simply does a great job of finding quality oline players . . . The oline will hold this team back. Next year could be another 8-4 year.

I expected a win against Fla and Bama this year more than next year. Look at what we lose next year-double digit senior starters on both sides of the ball. Unless we get massive portal help, next year could be ugly. You could argue that we'll have younger players step up but considering they are not pushing for playing time now, against guys who are marginal sec starters, are they going to be that much better?

I see us beating Kentucky, Missouri, and obviously Uconn. Georgia is the question.
Kentucky on the road after a week off for them. It’s gonna be a very tough out. Missouri is even better on the road. I think we drop all three games.

2-1 in this 3 game stretch was always where I thought we would be. If we beat KY next week we are still looking at a 9-3 or worst case 8-4 season.

Kentucky is, in my view, the only must win game left.

I do not expect us to beat Mizzou (road game - we all can see the trend there) as they are a pretty good team this year. Their QB is a good player and they have a star WR. I also do not expect us to beat UGA.

If we beat Kentucky and the rest, we finish 8-4 which is a decent year for the talent we have.

But a loss to Kentucky . . . Would mean. Ugh.
