I wouldn't go that far. I just prefer him over the network knuckleheads. Please don't take my posts as confrontational. I truly don't mean them that way.I get that you are a fan. I'm not trying to argue. But following Ward has no bearing on the fact that he is awful at his job. I agree that Ward was a tough act to follow and even if Bumbling Bob was good he would never be in that class. But he just is bad at his job. Very very bad.
If a Play By Play announcer job was hiring and had a detailed job description and requirements.....Bob would not even qualify to apply for the job.
Dan Orlovsky was probably the best QB in UConn history off the top of my head. He just wasn’t starting QB material in the NFL. He has a lot of hot takes on the ESPN shows that I’m not sure he really believes in. However, whenever he is being real, he knows the game extremely well.Bro I actually liked the dan overlosky guy we had today. Probably butchered his name but the guy knew he footballl. Gary Danielson and Vern are over the hill man!
He was constantly blowing the VOLS horn back when we were good. Remember the old graphic all networks showed back when Fulmer had a .750+winning percentage (only lost to UF, usually) against ranked opponents? ( I know I am showing my age.) That ended in 2001 when Mark Richt turned the tide in the UGA series against us. That success evaporated over the next 7-8 years. CBS & ESPN started pushing teams that were winning and contending. That wasn't us. We were then the outsiders. We are on the verge of changing that narrative. His kneepads will be on and ready for use.
