Nessler is Ron Franklin level good.

Hard to beat Ron, but Nessler, Fowler, and McDonough are all very good at what they do. One that I have always liked even though he generally calls lower level games is Dave Neal. He is very professional and fair. I was glad ESPN hired him after They got the rights to just about all SEC games.

I wish we could take Nessler to ABC when we leave CBS. I’ll settle for Sean McDonough, though. Both are great. I also wish the SEC could buy the CBS college football theme song.

He actually believes that people are more interested in him than watching the game.

The only person I really have a problem with is big Bob. I have gotten to where I can’t hardly listen to him. I don’t remember him being like this til the past few years. Sounds totally not interested! Pat isn’t much better. You bet your ass Tim Priest would have lost his marbles on that call against the little red elephants!

Gary always pisses me off when TN makes a good play and it’s not that UT makes/earned a good play, it’s always that the other team gave it to them.

Watching the replay of the Bama game and on several of our scoring plays, he's talking about something unrelated to the action at hand as the play unfolds. He did it on two of Hyatt's receiving touchdowns, prattling on about his convo yesterday with Nick Saban or something equally irrelevant, deflating the unfolding drama. He needs to shut his yap and let Nessler handle things once the ball is snapped.

Nessler, by the way, provided a gem in describing McGrath's game-winning field goal saying "It wasn't pretty ... but it was beautiful ..." Well played, Brad.
We score so quick there is no room for chit chat. It will happen again.

Interesting that you say that. I've noticed that several times in a game the announcers have something they want to say (or show on replay) but before they can get started, we are running the next play. I think it frustrates them sometimes. Watch and see if you see it or if I'm just imagining it.

Hey if Nessler is Georgia I have to say hats off he does a pro job of hiding.
Danielson on the other hand is just like my father in law. Am insufferable first class SOB.
his Midwest accent (which I usually have no prob with btw) is distracting and strong especially on words like ye-aahrd
