Gary Danielson [merged]

His bias was evident on the fumble/forward pass play in the endzone, he was so wanting that to be a safety, I still thought it was a forward pass, the defender affected the throw obviously but Danielson was intent on proving it was a safety, I think they called it a wash with the call they made, this was the crew for the Alabama game I think, very fair bunch imo.

Iknow everyone hates him but he made a terrific observation ,he stated Tennessee looked tight and was not ready for the moment since it had been a whole since we have been there. I think he hit the nail on the head
A whole what?

Had the Orange team been winning Gary would have said GA was tight.
They're just mouth pieces spewing crap.

Doesn't matter whose playing he's a card carrying football replay referee in the booth. Biggest homer color guy of all time. NM

He is real quick to say targeting. Hence, my hate.

Watched the game with my nephew. Every time Tennessee forced a punt or made a big play, we’d put our hand to our ears toward the TV and wait for Danielson to compliment the Vols.....

Silence.... Every. Single. Time.

I am, generally speaking, a pretty fair and reasonable guy, but he was really hard to listen to this game. It was more of his anti-UT sort of self than we usually hear. I get that he gave us a compliment in the end, but my goodness, broken clocks and all that.
I don’t listen to him. I’d rather a silent screen than listening to most of the TV announcers. They add nothing to the game.

Maybe he is simply objective.

Looked to me like the officials got that one wrong, which would make Daniels right.

I don't think he's objective, I think it could have went either way but I saw it as a forward pass, you saw it differently and I think that's why they just went with play stands as called because it was purely opinion no definitive answer.

Maybe it's me but I never focus my mind or thoughts on what tv announcers, commenters or sideline reporters say or don't say during a game.
