Really? Local news knuckleheads do, but where are the political dillholes who buried Bush in it every time we had even a slight move in the price?

I'm sorry, but I just can't agree with you. I see a ton of stories about this all the time. Particularly a lot of them centering on whether the price of gas will derail the recovery. Every news broadcast, every talk show. Its everywhere.
Are any of them suggesting Obama or his policies are the culprit? That is the point of this thread - when prices rose under Bush he and his policies were directly implicated routinely.
Some estimates put Greenland's offshore oil reserves at 20 billion barrels.

Firms with licenses include U.S.-based ConocoPhillips and Exxon, Canada's Encana, Norway's Statoil, France's GDF Suez, Britain's Cairn Energy, Royal Dutch Shell Plc, Denmark's Maersk and DONG Energy, and Greenland's national oil company Nunaoil.
There is a rather obvious difference between Obama and Bush, not to mention the situation driving the increased cost of oil in both cases. If you can't acknowledge that, there isn't much point in discussing it.
Yes - please explain. How did Bush directly impact gas price increases while Obama is completely free of impact?
That was not the question, nor was that in context my answer. The main difference is the linkage between the oil industry and the Bush administration. Recall Cheney's secret meetings with oil execs to map out policy.
The price hike during the Bush administration seemed to come out of nowhere. It was driven by speculation about oil prices and the increased growth of China and India. The price hike now is due primarily to the unrest in the ME.
The first is profit taking by oil traders in an industry closely connected to the administration. The second is something we can only affect very indirectly.
