Gaston Moore to the portal

I am surprised he is not a graduate transfer by now. Either way, hope he uses his eligibility to do something nice for himself and perhaps go get some NIL and playing time somewhere in his last year.
This.. I like the guy, but how old is he? How much eligibility does he have left?

Whatever happens, nothing but good wishes for his future, whatever it holds.

I normally stop caring about guys after they bounce for another school but this one’s different. CJH brought him here to help the QB room learn the system and be an extension of the coaching staff, he knew the assignment, never complained, and gave his all for Tennessee! I really hope he sees the field next year, wherever that may be, and I’ll be cheering for him. Who knows, he may be back as a GA in 2 years.

UCF with Frost seems a good possibility. I also thought USF with Golesh would make sense.
Those would be some nice destinations, but they might have something above him there already.

Can't fault him, surprised he didn't leave last yr..

Hope he has a tremendous year at his next locale..

The Gas Man will go to a system and coach he knows, and who knows him. USF, it is.

Hopefully Merk is ready to step up, because I won't be shocked to see him having to takeover for Nico in the middle of next season.

But why? Thought he was one of those guys that was on a coaching track and kinda knew he was going to be a backup?

Or maybe going to USF to play for Golesh in final year?

It is interesting that when Milton was QB1, his apparent QB2 was Nico, a true freshman, though Gaston Moore was here and already experienced.

When Nico was QB1, his apparent QB2 was Gaston Moore, not Merk, the true freshman.

That seems to say Nico progressed faster than Merk has in the system.
