I hate to say it, but I can't really be mad at him.

If the news asks you, (assuming you are on a player on defense for some team) if you can shut out a team, you won't say, no we suck and they are going to blow us out.

I know shutout may be a stretch, but if he answered no, the media probably would have jumped to some confusion of not being confident or something stupid.

Of course we have the time to sit back and think of a response, but I'm also a decent public speaker, and this would have been my response.

Seriously, did I ever mention he wasn't a good defensive player? We were SPECIFICALLY talking about a quote. Hence, public speaking.

I doubt seriously some quote he gives is going to suddenly make the UT offense play one wit better. You don't need extra motivation for this game at all. As a Gator fan, its refreshing to see some confidence and some desire form the Gator D.

Joiner is a nob. I wanna see him go against some 6'3" and 6'4" WR who have speed and hands. He is a real goob. I played D and I would have told him to shut his hole and play ball.
