Just be thankful you're going to a bowl.

that's kinda like 2 years ago, when we beat florida at florida, miami at miami, bama on the road finishing 10-2 in the regular season, then getting jumped by an 8-5 florida for the outback bowl and being stuck in the peach bowl, where it was obvious we didn't care we were there.

Both Bama and LSU beat florida and have better records than UF. With Georgia winning the SEC UF deservedly is the 4th pick for the SEC affiliated bowls. IMO it has done what the system has intended. UF may have beaten the conference champs but both teams did enough to get to the championship game to win it. Hats off to FSU and UGA for beating the better teams in championship games.
Well i agree Georgia did what it had to do win the SEC East and get to the championship game. They only had to play MSU, Ark, and Auburn from the west. While UT and Florida had LSU and Bammer on their schedule. Perhaps UF would be in the SEC CG if UGA had to play bammer and LSU in the regular season.

Florida played two teams going to BCS bowls this year. Beat both UGA and FSU. Granted, UGA was without Shockley, but absolutely blew out FSU a week ago.
And here we are with fingers crossed for the Outback Bowl.
No Justice, no Peace! Where's a playoff when you need it?

So in your opinion you think Florida is a better team than Bama or LSU ?

A lot of you make valid points and I'm not looking for sympathy. My main point was that as long as we have the bowls (be it straight up conference alignment or BCS) then the system is a fraud.
Look at FSU beating Va. Tech. FSU is not good enough to make $14 million in a BCS game. I'm sorry, they just aren't. There are many more deserving teams out there. Now, you could say that the ACC conference title game was like a playoff as far as Va. Tech is concerned. But if you say that, then why not go all the way and just have a decent playoff system, not one with pit stops along the way like this?
The whole thing is just a sham.

Congrats on getting the Outback. I really thought they would invite S. Carolina if the Peach did not take them. Shows what I know.
