I thought so, too.  The nice thing about the way things have ended up for Florida is that I feel like the team is moving in the right direction.  Beating the crap out of FSU is still a big deal to Gator fans and to the school.  If the team can win the bowl game and finish at 9-3 heading into next year with a head of steam ...

Yeah. Kind of like UT finished last year 10-3 with a full head of steam after stomping on Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl. k:

I personally think that UT historically has not gotten the respect it deserved (this year it got too much, it turns out).  UT is one of those schools that MUST go undefeated to get any attention from the BCS.  If you were 8-3 or even 9-2 this year you'd be wallowing around in the mud with us.

Florida didnt get screwed this year. I have no sympthy for them. If they made it to the championship game and get a bad bowl maybe i could feel for you. You cant have it all. All those wins over Ga, FSU, and Tenn are all for nothing if still have 3 losses and the 4th best team in the SEC. UF lost more games than Bammer, LSU (which they lost to both) and georgia had the better record in the East and won the SEC CG. Basically you guys are the 4th choice from the SEC and deservedly so.

Now We won the east and got shoved from the Outback bowl over a 5 loss gator team. Now that is bogus.

Florida played two teams going to BCS bowls this year.  Beat both UGA and FSU.  Granted, UGA was without Shockley, but absolutely blew out FSU a week ago.

And here we are with fingers crossed for the Outback Bowl.

:cry: it's going to be tough to get some sympathy over here LG. those two wins yes, very impressive, both won their conf....but the UGA w/out Shockley was still fairly close, and you got killed by Alabama and LSU....

i think you ought to thank your lucky stars you're getting the Outback Bowl...i thought you would wind up in Shrevport and USC would wind up in Tampa....after all they did beat you and finished ahead of you in the final standings....so who got screwed again?
