Kentucky football is like Urban Meyer. Just can't make up their dang minds whether they want to play football or not.

Once Brooks retires, Joker won't last long as HC before he gets run out of Lexington.

Brooks just told the press that 80% he would not return next year in the postgame presser.

Well that sucks for you guys bc the guy calling the plays tonight lost you all the game. Joker was not impressive at all tonight, way too much gimmicky crap.if UK runs the ball out of normal formations between the tackles then they win.

Joker runs hot and cold with playcalling, but I saw a lot of missed blocking assignments, as well as poor reads by a freshman QB. He's also limited by no options at TE.

I have no problems with gimmicks. It works for Florida. Besides, it's a bowl game. Losing sucks, but a bowl game loss doesn't mean as much as an SEC game.

I am not sure what the future would be like without Brooks. Almost certainly Ortmayer, the special teams coach, would retire with him. As for callling the plays, that duty would be shared between Sanders and Joker.

No confidence with the downfield passing game, and Clemson sees the Wildcat every day in practice. Proved to be a bad match up for the Cats.

I have to agree with this.

If you saw some of Newtons passes, you know why they had no confidence. He was way off on alot of passes.

Quite true, but he was under duress most of the night. It's hard to keep in perspective, but just 8 weeks ago, he was wearing a red shirt with no expectations of playing. It will be interesting to see the QB competition this spring between Newton, Hartline, and Mossakowski.

This I agree with. Phillips seemed determined not to do anything risky with his freshman QB. Well, it's time for Mr. Newton to grow up next year.

The fumble sealed the deal on this one. Once again Kentucky shot themselves in the foot....

We have done that so many times, we are all out of feet. Pretty soon its moving up to knee caps.

I was down in Nashville last night. As always it was nothing but blue from 2nd Ave to West End. I didn't attend the game however, I was instead at the Ryman Auditorium. (for a much better show...lol)

I am looking forward to the SEC tourney down there this year though, should be a fun time.

brooks retiring is the best thing that could happen to the kentucky football program. hopefully they will be smart enough to not promote on of his mediocre assistant coaches.

Exactly. The last few years are the apex of Kentucky football. There is no where to go but down. They can't maintain the level of success they have had with a guy who is ironically named Joker at the helm, and they aren't likely to get anyone much better.
