Bobby P should be interviewing a potential staff at this point

It's funny watching this. We may have it bad but our team would beat the team on the plains.

Please. Kiehl Frazier would look like Montana against us.

Agree. And Emory Blake would look like Calvin Johnson. Onterrio McCaleb and Tre Mason go for about 300 combined and look like Cadillac and Ronnie Brown made over.

Can't see canning a coach after a national title, even if it was purchased. Seems like you get at least 4 years if you win a title??

Listening to the FOX National radio on the way home. They made it sound like that Chizik will be fired tomorrow...

I heard on the radio that Chizik's buyout decreases right after the Iron Bowl. It makes business sense to take that kind of approach IMO.

Chizik has been awful this year, but in regards to Chizik vs. Dooley, some perspective is in order. Auburn's schedule has been tougher than Tennessee's (up to this point).

Auburn has thus far played only one team outside the power conferences: Louisiana-Monroe. And La-Monroe is leading the Sun Belt. Auburn beat them. They have New Mexico State and Alabama State coming up, so they should win at least 3 games.

Tennessee has played its two cupcakes already: Georgia State and Akron. We beat NC State, but that's really no more impressive than beating Louisiana-Monroe.

Auburn played LSU, Clemson, and Vandy close. We played Georgia, Miss State, and SC close.

I'm not really sure that Auburn has played much worse than us. We've looked slightly better against good teams, but if Auburn had played our schedule, they'd probably be 3-5 or 2-6.

I think at the end of the year, our record will be better than Auburn's. And I do think we're better than them. But Chizik hasn't been that much worse than Dooley --- he's just had a tougher schedule thus far.

Take a look at Auburn's schedule and try to discern what Dooley's record would be. Best-case scenario would be 4-4, but it could be as bad as 1-7 (depending on whether UT could beat Arkansas, Ole Miss, Vandy, and La-Monroe).
