Drew Gilbert is a future All-SEC player. I'm very impressed. Needs to be everyday starter. I think today's starting lineup needs to be put in granite.

I agree. He adds so much to that lineup. His fire and intensity can be contagious with his teammates. His heads up base running stole a run yesterday. The best weapon he hasn’t been utilized yet which is his cannon from the outfield. Extremely quick hands with the bat. I see 12 players that have showed they should be in the lineup. You can only play 9. I think we will see a steady rotation through the season and you just don’t lose much. Tons of depth.

The thing I like about this team is that they seem to play up to their capabilities each game. They have the same intensity whether it is Northern KY or Texas Tech. Sometimes it’s tough not to take your foot off the gas when playing a weaker opponent and “play down to the level of your competition”. So far I haven’t seen that. Could be a special group.

What a difference a couple years of recruiting makes....impressive roster for sure.
